Is there some type of cargo management items made for CT besides this? Maybe a cargo net, something that will make the back more like a trunk for groceries and the like?

weighs 79 lbs without foam - big boy....on the fence (due to cost only) as it's protecting equipment in the vault which is already protected and mostly water proof.....hmmmm

Pelican 0550 Case (dust & water resistant) fits perfect in bed vault.

Have you figured out if there is a pelican case that fits behind the 0550 that steps down to perfectly fit under the tonneau as well?

Just wondering if we could easily have a semi-russian doll type setup with progressively smaller pelicans to the tailgate (I realize they wouldn’t nest inside one another due to width being relatively constant)?

Thanks for posting this. I love pelican for durable weatherproof cases that are cheaper than (for instance) a metal Halliburton but retain most of the functionality. Not that they are cheap by any means but as usual, you get what you pay for. I have pelican cases that are 30+ years old and have traveled across the world over a dozen times and they are basically as functional as the day I bought them.

Cheers

That’s nice but I’m using smaller transparent plastic containers which help me see what’s inside and keeps me from hunting and searching for items. I’m also hesitant to purchase a large and expensive item until I see how much room the range extender takes.

Pelican's are usually meant for specialized equipment. I have seen everything from a violin worth a fair sum, to my uses are optics. I bet a fair amount of them are used for things that solve world like problems by the user. They keep things in perfect shape in the worst conditions. My football ends up in a raft or in a plane. I used one in Kodiak that held a lens that was on loan 15k or so when I was hanging out with bears.

Long story: I won't put my groceries or ordinary gear in it unless I am a super rich ass.

Do you have to strap it down with bungee cords to stop it from sliding? Are there any storage containers that lock to the bed? Even the smugglers bay is accessible if the tonneau is open which sucks.

Drive around with this for a month to see if the battery range extender is right for you.

Thanks, great find. Damn! 79lbs empty, lol.
The fit is the same out to where the bed fans out toward the end correct? Basically I could put it in the middle and stack things infront and behind it.
