After receiving my CYBERBRITE order a couple of weeks ago, I finally had the free time and nice enough weather to give it a try. Not to bury the lede, I'm extremely happy with the result!

I should state up front that I ordered and paid for the product after i saw it here in the forum, this is *my* review and I have no relationship or consideration from @CYBERBRITE1.

I foolishly didn't take a bunch of "before" pictures, but I think most of us know what the bare steel looks like over time, it gets an almost yellow-orange tinge to it. In the past, I've used the Windex/BKF method to restore it to the proper steely-bluish hue, and that works well enough but it's a bit tedious.

The Cyberbrite kit ships with protective gloves, eyewear, two microfiber applicator cloths, and the Cyberbrite solution in a plastic squeeze bottle. It was packed extremely well in a tight box, with the bottle sleeved in a high quality ziploc plastic bag to protect against leakage in transit. I always appreciate attention to detail in packaging, it's a good sign that the manufacturer cares about customer experience. A+ here.

I began with a hand wash at home using water and blue Dawn, followed by drying all of the steel panels completely with a squeegee and disposable microfiber cloths. It's a beautiful sunny 81° day here in Atlanta, and thankfully the pollen is at a lull thanks to some rains from earlier in the week.

Since this was my first use of the product, I followed the directions as closely as possible, doing two complete coats, one after the other. Cyberbrite recommends doing the application in the shade, but unfortunately that wasn't an option for me, this is the only place I strayed a bit from their recommendations. I used about 75% of the bottle doing two coats, and I was quite liberal with the product. It spreads on as a thin oil and it's easy to see where it has/hasn't been applied as you go.

After letting the product set for 15 minutes after the second coat, I hosed it all off - it washed off fairly easily with decent water pressure from a good nozzle. The difference before and after was immediately noticeable, as you can see from the pictures, my CT is back to the original steel blue sheen. I also did a quick walk around video, any distortions you see are mostly environmental reflections. It looks much better in person!

Overall, I'm extremely happy with the ease of the process and the results, I'm going to re-order again. I think I'll use the remaining 25% from the first bottle to do my door jambs as I saw another poster do, it looked fabulous.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, I had just received my first test bottle of CyberBrite and eBeast was in need of a bath. So ABT (anything but taxes) prevailed. This is how my first test performed.

TLDR;
  • Impressed with the results, will order again.
  • Followed all directions (important, as I usually just wing it), it goes on with the black cloth like a thin oil so good coverage is easy
  • Great at getting rid of those whiteish spots (mineral deposits), but does nothing for scratches (as to be expected)
  • Final clean water rinse is hydrophilic (water sheets off rather than beading up)

eBeast is an early Foundation series with about 20k (both on road and some off road). I live near the northern California coast and the truck lives outside. So I have some salt, tree debris and bird poop every day. I wash the truck every few weeks with just tap water (5 gal bucket with about 1 tbs of Dawn dishwashing soap, rinse and dry). I have done one complete CitriSurf 77 passivation cleaning last summer (went well, but was a lot of work and really smelled).

I usually don’t follow directions as I’ve got four vehicles and have had Porsches for decades - so I know a thing or two about cleaning cars. That said each car is different (years between models, so different paints and materials) and I’ve developed a procedure for each vehicle.

The directions are straightforward - wash, rinse and dry before starting CybertBrite. So I did my usual cleaning which takes me 1+ hours including hand wiping down/drying the vehicle. The vehicle should feel smooth everywhere when running your fingers over the surface. Then starting at the front (because this is where most of the road grit hits the vehicle) and doing one one panel at a time using the gloves and black cloth (kind of a microfiber) that comes in the package. I added enough CyberBrite to thoroughly wet the cloth (saturated). Then using small, light circlular motions I applied the solution. It goes on like a light oil and is very easy to see where it has been coated. It should glide on, I didn’t need to rub it in. The goal is to get a nice even coating. If the black cloth snags, especially on the front facing panel (which gets lots of grit impacts) then you need to go back and clean it more. This entire process took me about 30 minutes (it goes quickly). Then as the first time application - instructions say to apply a second coat on top of the first.

With the CitriSurf 77 last summer I had to be really be careful NOT to get any of it on the plastic or rubber parts. I kept a water wet cloth at the ready to wipe up any drips. With CyberBrite this was not a problem: 1) the product isn’t as runny/drippy and 2) any areas where these parts did get a little wet they didn’t show any discoloration after final rinsing. That said obviously you want to keep coverage to the stainless steel parts.

The second coat actually took a bit longer, as I was keen to see areas where the first coat hadn’t yet gotten all of those pesky white mottled areas (for me the top sails and the top door sills were the worst - water and washer fluid sit there). I took extra time to make sure I re-coated those to the point where those spots disappeared.

If you can afford demineralized water (instructions recommend) for rinsing you are way more of a perfectionist than I. What I have found that works well is an inline filter for the garden hose, which I also just happen to use when filling my hot tub. Here is the link…

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BMP9G2YW?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1

Rinsing was a surprise as I expected the final rinse to result in a hydrophobic (water beading) surface (as one would expect with a finely waxed car). But CyberBrite surface rinse was hydrophilic resulting in water sheeting off the surface. I then used clean shop towels to wipe everything down. For this first double application I used just over â…“ of the bottle. Going forward I will probably do this about once every 2 months or so.

Final results were very good! I’m not great with photos and I did the wash in my tree shaded driveway. But I then took eBeast out to the coast and took some full sun pics. It did lighten the overall finish very slightly. But in the end I think the truck actually looks better than when I first took delivery in spring 2024. My Beast (s/n xx4050) was early production and still has some mismatch of the panels and production scratches when I first received it (the dealership efforts to “buff out” those was less than good). But I love eBeast just the same….

This isn't a review, just a quick test. I forgot to snap any before pictures, you can use your car as a reference. I did a single pass and left it on for about an hour, wiped it off with a damp cloth followed by a microfiber, front driver side door, you be the judge.

After the door jam experiment, I went ahead and applied the whole car. Again, no before pictures, you can compare with your car for reference. I took it to a full brushed auto car wash the night before, applied two coats in the morning, returned to the auto car wash and towel dried it on the spot, I had to touch up on 2 small area when I got home which I may have missed during initial application. See for yourself, photos are straight from an iPhone 17 ProMax, no filters.

Going to post my review of Cyberbrite in this thread instead of creating a new one :)

More than two months ago (before I even picked up my CT), I contacted Gary/Cyberbrite regarding an offer of a sample.

Gary arranged for me to receive a sample at no charge, and no expectations. I was not compensated for this review, nor has anyone else seen/reviewed/approved this ahead of this post (standard disclaimer).

At the risk of sounding duplicitous to others here, this stuff really does work. HOWEVER... you must follow the instructions. Don't be dumb like me and forget the final step: wash the application off with de-mineralized water! This process does take some elbow-grease, the results are only as good as the prep work and the effort you put into being thorough.

Follow the prep steps word-for-word, and you should get good results. I actually needed 3 coats before the staining and rag marks were sufficiently removed. Then I gave it a good rinse and careful drying and the results are fantastic.

Remember to not apply when the steel is hot, or in direct sunlight. The real test of how well it worked? My teenage son (who didn't even know I was washing the truck or using Cyberbrite) asked me "How did you get the Cybertruck so clean?" :ROFLMAO:

First frunk pic is after wash, but before Cyberbrite. Second pic is after the applications(s). Final pic is after complete treatment. I'm very happy with the results, and will be buying more.

This is by far, the best product I have found to use in my cybertruck. Easy to apply. First coat, slightly noticeable difference on the spots, second coat, GONE!!! Leaves a bright finish. Just like they advertised after wiping and rinsing off. I won’t even need to keep using my bar keepers friend anymore. Great product! Thank you!!! And it’s an added bonus to support a small company, or family owned business, instead always faceless corporations. Thanks again for making an amazing product.

So, I have a quick update for all of you wanting to see some results from this stuff. First off, disclaimer, I am not affiliated with Cyberbrite in any way, not a YouTuber or blogger, etc. Just a guy who owns a cybertruck and likes trying out new stuff. I was however sent this bottle as a sample to try but after testing it I went on their website to purchase another one with my own money for that introductory promo - I am just waiting for them to fix the shipping charge issue on their site they mentioned.

So, I received the Cyberbrite today and was curious to try it, so far the test results look very promising. It is still too cold here in NJ to wash the truck so I did a roughly 2 ft x 2 ft section just as a test until it's warm enough that I can clean the whole truck - it's filthy. Here is what I did, which wasn't much. I wiped a roughly 3 ft section down (to make sure the soap didn't have the same results) with a wet, lightly soapy rag, rinsed it off and dried it. I only applied a single coat of cyberbrite to saturate the area, waited 15 minutes and rinsed it with water and dried it. See the pic for the result. It was dark out when I took the pic, but you get the idea and it looks much better in person. I'll update whenever I have a chance to do the whole truck. My plan is to ceramic coat it after using this stuff on the whole truck so we'll see how everything holds up long term. I've never used Citrisuf to know if it gives a similar result, only BKF so thats all I can compare it to. From my little test area it did a great job with 1/10th of the effort.

Top right is where I applied it, in the square shiny area.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to hop on here and give my review of Cyberbrite, the issues i had, where i went wrong, and ultimately how it all turned out.

So to start out, i just bought a new to me, 2025 Cybertruck. It has 5k miles on the odometer and was in okay shape, interior was amazing but the exterior was rough. The truck was purchased through Carvana and was shipped to Philadelphia from Iowa. I dont know if it was during the transportation period or what, but there was "rust stains" all over above the windows and on the upper parts of the rear quarter panels. There was hard water spots up and down both sides of the vehicle and probably some salt etching from winter driving and the whole truck had a brownish hue to it. When i picked up the truck from Carvana the guys there pointed everything out to me and said their detailers didnt know how to get it out but i figured i had Cyberbrite at home so i should be good. Took the truck home and began what turned out to be a multiday process.

First attempt 4/21....

70 degrees and sunny.

So i got the truck home i was eager to try out the Cyberbrite so i washed the whole truck with dawn dish soap. Rinsed thoroughly. Dried the entire vehicle by hand. Applied 99 percent Isopropyl alcohol to all the stainless panels. Threw the provided glasses and gloves on and got to work with the Cyberbrite. I followed the instructions, attempting to do the whole truck in one continuous pass, kept the rag damp but not dripping, making sure to hit every inch of every panel before moving to the next. Got one full pass around the vehicle and it was already starting to dry, so started the second pass immediately. Same thing all the way around. Let it sit for about 10 minutes but it was starting to dry. Drove the truck to a touchless car wash to get everything off, got home. And to my surprise, the truck basically looked the same. Im sure the Cyberbrite had done something but all the rust spots were still there, all the water spots still there, and now there was some new staining that looked like i had let the Cyberbrite sit too long. This was frustrating to me. I didnt understand, i thought it was just supposed to fix and make everything look better.

I began to think maybe the Cyberbrite isnt strong enough, maybe it cant handle it. So i did a lot of reading in forums and youtube videos before giving it another attempt.

Fast forward to this weekend.

Saturday, overcast and 50 degrees.

This time, from my research, i decided to bring out some more chemicals. To start i sprayed the entire truck with Meguiars Ultimate Iron remover (the amount of purple this truck turned was insane) and used a blue scotch brite pad to lightly agitate and work it in. Rinsed the entire truck and looked it over. Definitely some improvement on the rust spots and all the water spots and staining was coming up. Did another soak in the iron remover but it still wasnt enough. I had anticipated this so i brought out essentially what id call the big guns. Liquid barkeepers friend. I spent 4 hours taking my time, all by hand, scrubbing every body panel, one at a time, with BKF and a microfiber applicator pad. I would then spray the panel with windex and get all the BKF off, then hit it with Sprayaway and wipe it off and move to the next panel. This was a very meticulous process. One panel complete before moving on, breaking the bigger panels up into sections to make sure the BKF didnt dry too fast. When i had hit the whole truck i rinsed it, washed it with dawn dish soap, rinsed again, and hand dried.

This did the trick, all the blemishes were gone or 99.9 percent gone and unnoticeable unless you got up on the vehicle and knew where they were. I then hit the truck with a full wipe down of isopropyl and did the Cyberbrite again, this time since it was overcast and cooler outside i was able to ensure the Cyberbrite stayed wet the entire time and did 2 full coats and was able to let it sit for 15 minutes. I then rinsed it all off and rewashed with dawn dish soap one last time and hand dried the vehicle.

After all that, i must say, WOW!!! I dont know what they look like brand new but man does this thing shine. It is like a whole new vehicle. The brownish hue is gone, all the water spots completely gone, rust gone, Cyberbrite now protecting it for a few months.

If anyone has a truck that is in the shape mine was, defintiely take your time with it. I know the BKF/Windex method is kinda frowned upon, but when your truck is in the shape mine was you gotta get heavy and extreme with it and it is definitely worth it, the Cyberbrite is just the cherry on top.

Key Takeaways:

Take your time with the prep, Cyberbrite is a great product but as with most things automotive, prep is everything. Try to get as much off with whatever method you prefer first. Its not going to get deep rust stains out heavy heavy water spots out. You're gonna have to use some manual elbow grease first but the end product is well worth it.

Make sure to keep the Cyberbrite wet and dont just rinse it off or do touchless. I cant attest to a brushed carwash but a touchless wasnt enough, manual washing it off seemed to do the trick the best for me. Try to do it on a day where the sun isnt blazing down and drying it out.

Unfortunately i didnt take up close pictures of the before but i promise you it was bad.

Hi thanks so much for the detailed report on returning your truck to the way they all should look. I believe that yours is a case where some kind of sealant was put over contaminated stainless. I think it caused the bad staining that was so difficult to remove. As you discovered, CYBERBRITE has to come into direct contact with the contamination to remove it. Your experience demonstrates that Cybertruck’s stainless is very durable and that its surface contamination that is causing the problems.

I have several bottles sitting in my garage. My wife and I have been moving locally for the last couple weeks so the truck has been getting pretty dirty. I'll be settled into the new house by the end of the week and I can't wait to give it a try. My new house is closer to the car wash so I'll apply at home and run up to the car wash to rinse. I am very excited that this product is not a hassle to get off like BKF.

Let me preface with this: I live a few miles from Starbase, Tx on a hypersaline body of water known as the Laguna Madre. This environment is absolutely brutal for metal.

I was given a bottle of Cyberbrite (from @CYBERBRITE1) to test on my railing which is manufactured by Viewrail and is made of 2205 Duplex stainless steel.

this railing has been up for 4 years with only the occasional cleaning w/ water. If your truck ever looks this rough, I’m impressed.

I applied the Cyberbrite in the same way recommended on our Cybertrucks. Wet towel with product and wipe on. It’s impossible to get this railing out of the sun so I did this on a cloudy day. It was hot and humid because it’s April.

I did two applications of 10 mins each then hosed off and wiped dry with a terry cloth.
The images speak for themselves. I think with another treatment I will have it back to new but I’m not in a rush as more testing to come.

I taped off a section for a before and after test as I find those helpful.

TLDR:. I recommend this to anyone who has a stainless item they need cleaned. I think this is a far better solution than BKF to the problem of cyberstains

Also, if you need some durable railing after 4yrs I fully recommend Viewrail.
