I've been working on a little something extra for the vault of my Cybertruck, an updated defense system that goes with the motif. It will probably take me a couple of months to manufacture all of the parts and assemble. Ultimately, I'd like to motorize a stand for it so that it can raise up out of the vault whenever the tonneau cover is opened. If anyone reading this has expertise in automating small motors please send me a DM as while I can build a stand for the system, I'm not sure how to motorize it. Preferably I'd just plug it into one of the outlets in the bed. At some point I will start testing the system to see what it can fire, initially I'm thinking water cannon, but possibly roman candles or something similar. I thought I'd share some photos of the build process thus far and then come back and update this topic thread from time to time as I make more progress. I started this about a month ago, for a month in I think I've made some decent progress. Enjoy!

Did you use any specific program to split up the file into several pieces for printing? The joints came out great and it looks like there are some tabs that click the parts together (2nd to last pic)

Is this a joke?

What is the application?
No, not a joke, I want to replace the WW1 era machine guns in the back with an actual full scale Halo Gauss cannon. I found some 3D files online, bought them, downloaded and began printing piece by piece by piece to assemble it. When finished it will be 6 feet long and can be carried by hand our mounted with a central mount. Do you mean computer application I am using to print the 3D files or how to I intend to apply the Gauss cannon?

Fortunately the pieces were already broken into individual files that will work with a 255x255x255mm 3D printer so I didn't have to break it up. I have had to adjust some tweaks with the fills and supports to get good prints and have had a couple of unexplained mishaps where the printer went awry and messed up a piece and I had to re-print. Reminds me I need to order some more filament as I'm getting low again...

Initially I was going to build a replica of the .50cal rotating machine gun out of aluminum and pvc but when I found the Gauss cannon (arguably a more potent weapon) I decided to give it a try to create something this large with a 3D printer. So far, I've been pleased with the results, but even after assembly I'm going to have a fair amount of finish sanding and painting to do in order to get the look I want.

Example Mishap that occurred while I was asleep, woke up the next morning to find this piece basically ruined so I reprinted.

The physical application. What will it be used for?
