Confidence in a company is a fragile thing. Transparency is important. I always thought the $100 deposit was a terrible move and would have felt better if it had been $5000 or some more realistic number for a 'real' deposit, but then the deposit numbers would likely not have exceeded the million mark. What good has the 'million' deposits done for confidence in the company?
Tesla stock has always been a yo-yo, but its volatile nature may be due in large part to the emotional gyrations of the guy at the top.
If the reservation system is systematically dishonored it doesn’t send a good message to either reservation holders or shareholders. There are many who are both, but may soon become neither.
$5k to hold 4 years with 0 interest is a tough pill to bite imo. I would definitely expect a discount/lower price at this point.?

I’m wondering the same thing. I’m in Sacramento Ca. I reserved mine In Dec 2019. I too am getting emails telling me I can get a model y 1000 off. I don’t want a model Y. I want to sit in my cybertruck before I leave this earth!
Day 2 RN112774. My wife and I own 2 Tesla’s currently, have owned three total, we both received the $1000 offer, I live in California and still nothing. I’m not sure what the criteria are, but I’m sure not meeting them for some reason lol. Hopeful they’ll be another round of emails going out to replace all the folks who were able to configure but don’t want to buy.

I think it's lottery and geographic based (117249). I'm in Los Angeles and haven't heard a thing. I never got that $1000 email either, lol.
I would check your Tesla account via the website and make sure your contact details are up to date. And also check your spam folder.

At some point they had erased my address.

I'm good with not getting an invite right now. First off, I am not interested in the Foundation series. Lastly, I want all the initial overlooked bugs and defects worked out before I take delivery of my AWD.
Can't you just buy a new one 4 yrs later? Its not like this is your end-all, be-all vehicle.

Sac here too! Was hoping to be the first Sacramentan to have one, but I just can’t bring myself to drop 100k.

Wow! I can't believe Crissa responded to me! Forum royalty! Yeah, I checked. I even went to the Tesla store and had them verify 2 days after the delivery event and they said my account looks good. I even leased a model 3 a few months back hoping it would increase my visibility to Tesla. We shall see... If I don't here anything by March or April, I will end up getting Model X.

Lol. No thanks. I already waited 4 years. Don't want to wait another 4 years. Hoping I get picked sometime mid 2024.

I live in Houston and Austin is such a quick drive it shouldn’t matter. No invite. No nothing at this point.

Do you think they’re looking for shareholders first? Because I never connected my shares to my Tesla account. But I might if it helps. Couldn’t hurt I guess.

When the model 3 was coming out I reserved a year after the announcement and got mine before people that reserved much sooner. This is how Tesla does it.

Hypothesis: Tesla has divided the reservation list by delivery center. Each location has their own list. Tesla is allocating trucks to delivery centers, who are then contacting the first people on their list. It might be that the ā€˜top’ reservation holder for a given center is a day two, or three, or ten reserver.
I’m a 11274 guy and Tesla owner, haven’t heard anything… but I live in a smaller community that’s only Silicon Valley adjacent. Honestly just hoping to see someone take delivery from my local center, as it means the location made the initial list of delivery points.

Is this a thing? How do you do that? I looked, but don't see a way to do it in my online Tesla account. I have validated ownership for the random drawings, like the last Cybertruck event, but nothing in my account reflects that.

No idea. Just speculation.
