Your Foundation Series Production/Delivery Date is Viewable by Tesla Sales Reps

Hey all,

Debated posting this as it will cause Tesla centers and sales reps to be flooded by other desperately waiting Foundation customers ?

But apparently Tesla Sales reps can “track” your order and see if you have an estimated production date for your Foundation order and/or estimated delivery date if available.

Here’s a screenshot of couple people who were able to do so. I went in to my local Tesla and asked a rep. I did not have any dates posted. But it was cool to know they can actually bring up your order and see. Perhaps because I waited 4 days after the first invite email. So guesstimating I probably wont have a delivery until February/March? (Ordered AWD on Dec 12th).

Sorry Tesla sales reps in advance. We will all be desperately bothering you now. ?

Second person above saying Tesla rep told him 3/8/24 ETA, ordered an AWD on Dec. 11th - RN1127516…

First person above says ordered AWD on Dec. 8 with ETA early to mid February - RN11275…




Interesting that according to this info, a Dec 8 order isn’t taking delivery an AWD until day mid-Feb

While a Dec 12 isn’t taking an AWD delivery until a week into March



Back when these folks placed these orders, invites were reporting Dec 23 -March 24

Great detective work! Yeah so far from these two orders looks like maybe still in the timeframe of Jan-March, but not likely January deliveries? Hopefully more data soon!

There is another thread floating around with this data and several have warned to watch out for the person recommending to talk to sales reps as a troll. Frankly I I have talked to some tesla folks and they have absolutely no data.

Its a possibility. Since its data from a sales rep, its not anything we can screenshot and share. But I'm sure some of us will be motivated to go check and ask out of curiosity and we will know soon enough if any others get some data.

When I asked the Sales rep she said another customer asked that day and she saw that he had a delivery location assigned (Tesla in Hawthorne). But nothing else date wise. Mine didn't even have that info yet.

The thing is, even if a rep had access to the planning data for production and deliveries, there is no certainty that the actual events won't be ahead of, or behind, schedule. No one really knows, all we can do is make educated guesses. So it does little good to try to parse it too carefully because it will happen on the schedule that it happens to unfold. We can get clues that, in the aggregate, give us a better idea of the probable timelines, but this is little better than whatever info the most knowledgable rep might have.

I configured yesterday for a Dual Motor and I'm guessing late March to early April but it could easily be a month sooner or later, with the most likely scenario being a bit later.

so both of the commenters in the OP are just trolls?

second, at some point in time, doesn’t the delivery point need to have advance info about an incoming truck, and coordinate the client that will be there to collect it?

so, I can buy that they don’t have the info about production date a month or more in advance, or the delivery date a month or more in advance

but at some point they have to know who is taking delivery and when that delivery will occur, no?

Any ETA reports for a Cyber Beast delivery? I placed the Beast order at 8pm PST December 8th, about 30 minutes after the first batch of emails went out. I inquired with my Advisor at Santana Row tonight and she said she had no info on my build date. Any perspective Beast owners have any luck with their Tesla Advisors?

Ironically, I visited this very store in UTC (San Diego) on the 18th, and a rep told me they couldn’t see anything when I explicitly asked. (AWD foundation order placed on the 12th)

I can't answer the first.

As to the second, the VIN is the reference that the sales advisors could use to get information about a specific vehicle. These messages are suspicious to me because these people are claiming the exact dates their cars would be built/delivered and yet none has received or even asked about their VIN.
