I wouldn’t say the outlets are normally active. Most people don’t have them on unless they are needed to save on power consumption. If I remember correctly the default state is off when the vehicle is powered on.AC outlet in bed which would normally be active when vehicle is driving or occupied, but could be turned off before plugging in detonator only to be turned on later.
Not saying that's what he did, but I wonder. The video of the bed had a station chyron over where the outlet would be, so I didn't see one way or the other.
I think the interior outlets are on when the vehicle is occupied, at least mine are set to be, because I have a 110VAC -> 12VDC converter for radar detector and standalone GPS - and enough power for a semi grade 12VDC air pump that would normally connect directly to a 12VDC battery. Not sure about the bed outlets, haven't used them yet or looked at the control screen with them in mind, just quickly rechecked the manual. But If the guy made it there, he probably checked that they were off until he wanted them on if they are what he used. Wanted to see if the cover was open, maybe even the remnant of a cord plugged in, but that wasn't visible in the video I saw.I wouldn’t say the outlets are normally active. anyone still think it was NOT intentional?Seems it was intentional.

Anyone still think they are NOT related?CONFIRMED: The Daily Mail confirms that the Las Vegas Cybertruck terrorist was MATTHEW LIVELSBERGER, and that he previously served at the same military base as the New Orleans terrorist Shamsud Din Jabbar.
Yep a peacock vs an owl. One in the limelight and the other in the shadows according to the news.At work today and have already had people ask me if I'm going to start parking the Cybertruck outside in case it explodes or people showing me pictures of it burning/exploding and laughing.
When I ask if they know what happened to it, none of them are aware of what happened in the bed of this truck.
Gotta love mainstream media portraying the headlines as if this is a cybertruck issue.
Alice...?![]()
Tonneau cover went straight to the moon ?
NOPE!!! The CT is actually being credited with the limited damage as it did NOT blow up like a conventional vehicle. The blast was forced up through the vault cover and not out through the sides. Amazing. We truly do drive armored trucks.anyone still think it was NOT intentional?
I am thinking that the POS thought the increased strength of the SS would increase the explosive power of his crude bomb.NOPE!!! At this point, we don't know if they knew each other - most military bases are large, not everyone knows everyone, and we don't know if they were even there at the same time. The NO guy was evidently an ISIS fanboy, but we don't know the LV guy's motive yet, probably NOT the same though.Anyone still think they are NOT related?
both rented an electric truck from turo. Both were on the same base. It seems to me someone gave them directions on how to carry out these attacks and one of them failed. I am thinking that there could be more attacks out there but maybe they were told to stop for now. No proof but it sure as hell looks like a possibility. At this point, we don't know if they knew each other - most military bases are large, not everyone knows everyone, and we don't know if they were even there at the same time. People want to see patterns whether they're there or not. Or maybe they're there, but not what one thinks. Polarized times bring out the worst in a few of all factions and ideologies, some of which would definitely NOT be working together. In other words, a common influence but little else in common.
