The irony, considering recent information...
To the FBI agent who is monitoring this thread, it’s very important that I note that I have no affiliation, whatsoever, with @DrPhyzx and I also agree that it’s odd that he/she has so much information about this subject.

I hope you have a very pleasant day, thank you!

Extremely innocently yours,

@dalton108

P.S. ????
I work at a national lab. All of my online presence is probably monitored by TLA agencies you didn't know existed to make sure I don't tell anyone how to make something a bit more powerful than a pipe bomb ?.

Absolutely! I think that the one in Vegas (irrespective of whether he thought enclosing the materials in the truck bed would create a larger explosion) 100% believed that once he started a fire in the vehicle the battery would catch on and take over.

I have no doubt that he thought, at minimum, that the fire would be intense enough and burn long enough to collapse the porte-cochère.

People in this nation across political spectrums have lost the ability to think critically/separate fact from fiction/know when they’re being misled and it’s going to destroy us!
Seems possible. A nail in the pack with a nail gun would probably have been more likely to achieve his desired result.

Whatever you say, “Dr. Physics” … if that’s even your real name!

This ^ is not a new phenomena, it just seems like it when it hits close to home. Disinformation via "alternate facts" is common in this instant information age. The more hyperbolic the faster the spread. My response has been to disconnect from my social media accounts and I've stopped watching politically biased programming. Sifting through information for the truth can be difficult when it is in areas where you lack expertise.

It's easy to differentiate BEV-FUD stories for those of us who have followed/owned BEV's for years including the Cybertruck. Unfortunately we are a small percentage of the population. All of us are somewhat susceptible to disinformation if it suites a particular narrative we support.

The old carpenters axiom "measure twice, cut once" seems applicable in a broader sense.

I have done all of those things as well. I was raised in a different time and have the great fortune of knowing both of my great-grandfathers. One had only a sixth grade education. Both were wip-sharp and understood never allowing yourself to become anyone’s fool. This was instilled in me as a young boy as early as I can remember.

Great axiom, I use it often. Another, more vulgar one, that people need to learn is: “you can’t piss on my leg and tell me that it’s raining.“

Too many people, these days, will grab an umbrella. ?

Misleading me is exceedingly difficult. My bullshit detector is undefeated and always on. Doesn’t hurt me in my profession.

While I agree with you that this has been ongoing forever, I think some of the willful ignorance that were seeing is new, and, I am confident that it’s getting worse.

Mike Judge understood this sooner than most of us, I think. Idiocracy was supposed to be “satire,” not a documentary.

anyone still think it was NOT intentional?
Only this chic....

Usually summer heat and an ignition device like open flame, vape devices, etc. Very rarely, badly made ones go off when dropped.

Some reporting is saying this was intentional.

Just one more reason, not to put your CT up on Toro. I’m not sure that the Extra insurance covers acts of terrorism.
Just so everyone is aware: this is an actual excuse that insurance companies are allowed to use in order to deny your claim.

From a news report about 5 minutes ago:

Both Jabbar and Livelsberger served at Fort Liberty (formerly known as Fort Bragg), but a U.S. official said there was no overlap to their assignments there. They served at the same base, but at different times. And for context, more than 50,000 U.S. service members are currently stationed at Fort Liberty.
