Yeah right! 2+ Million reservations for a "Dud". Tell that to people who were taking selfies in front of a covered Cybertruck that they couldn't even see as the truck was covered with tarp during Black Friday closure. I was so close to taking selfies with them.

Seems the fact Kyle doesn't have a reservation for a CT and wouldn't get one for years if ordered today could also be a factor in his decision

If one looks at it from 30k foot view. Knowing that millions have said they want something....

Do I make a video of something controversial, or one of glowing love fest?

Which one generates views? Nothing in between for sure. Get ones truck. Enjoy it.

LOL, it's a very plausible explanation. If you can't change your position in line, then "change" the line to make it short ;).

I'm glad Sandy Munro is not doing that. He is just asking everyone to give him a CT so that he can cut it open with a big smile on his face . I love that guy!

I think that's their intention with the overpriced range extender

You guys have to watch the video and what he means by dud. Nothing he says in that part is a lie.

He also said it will sell a ton and that he likes it. It's a very specific kind of dud lol

Lol.... show me what was promised and where it says that.
Define promise.

Cause a lot of claims were made about the specs that didn't come to fruition. Being that Tesla usually exceeds expectations, but this time didn't. Didn't even handily beat the competition even though it released significantly later. Is his logic for dud.

Probably means a dud compared to what we all hoped it would be (based off expectations set by Tesla)

I don't think I would call it a dud, personally, because that would mean poor sales by my definition and we all know that isn't happening. But none of what he said is untrue.

That's not a pickup, that's a UTE.
So, what's a "yoot", you say??

A ute (/juːt/ YOOT), originally an abbreviation for "utility" or "coupé utility", is a term used in Australia and New Zealand to describe vehicles with a tonneau behind the passenger compartment, that can be driven with a regular driver's licence.

Traditionally, the term referred to vehicles built on passenger car chassis and with the cargo tray integrated with the passenger body (coupé utility vehicles). However, present-day usage of the term "ute" in Australia and New Zealand has expanded to include any vehicle with an open cargo area at the rear, which would be called a pickup truck in other countries.

What say ya, Ozzie's??

If not for GM Bankruptcy we would have had it in the states and I would have owned one.

I knew you were just sitting there waiting to post that.

They set expectations and didn't meet them. Doesn't matter if they were legally obligated to or not.

They didn't blow out the competition on any single spec except maybe turning radius.

Not saying it's terrible or I'm not gonna buy it, but compared to the unicorn we thought we were getting. We got a narwhal. Still magical just less awesome

Ugh, did not make the CT sound very appealing. Not the world expert but someone who has driven a LOT of EVs
I agree but it’s still just one man’s opinion. I think sometime we also select and key on parts of videos that reinforces our opinions good or bad. Myself included. I trust my opinion more than his so I’m just gonna judge it for myself when I finally get it.
