The speed limit is 65 and at night when there was almost nobody around I let it keep braking to see what would happen, it made it all the way down to 35 miles per hour before I decided it would be bad to be going so slow at night so I over-rode it and sped up.
There is a stretch like this near Denver, CO (east/west part of I-470 south of Denver) where it does this exact behavior like clockwork and it's annoying at best, dangerous at worst. But I only see it on Autopilot and Navigate on Autopilot. Haven't seen it on FSD so far and between the basic Autopilot options vs FSD they don't seem to be using the same algorithms to evaluate the road. Just an opinion.

Interesting. I assumed autopilot and FSD were using the same date. Good to know. At least that is one perk to being forced to get FSD with the FS. Haha.

The value proposition of an FS version would be easier justified by those that ordered FSD in 2019 (ie "I was gonna buy that anyways.")
this part seems exactly backwards to me

for them, is now at a $5K premium / up-sell

But otherwise agree with the remainder concepts in your post

I mean: it’s not an accident that Tesla still hasn’t said whether they intend to honor the $7K FSD price

Would be a 1 sentence / 8 word addition to the website that resolves an obviously burning question.

You'd almost think they would skip over the $7k locked orders and force people into the FS option. I did not reserve with FSD, nor do I want it, as I haven't had it in the 5 years I've owned two S's. My cars are grocery getters and kids Uber as I work from home, no need for FSD. But willing to pay the premium to get earlier. I do wonder if this FSD will transfer with sale.

Also, since FSD isn't on, I think that requiring FSD is likely for them to get more data to be able to enable, and also part of the regionalization algorithm of order banks.

I did pull the trigger on it and I will be getting my truck Feb-April.

There must’ve been a crossover right at that batch of offers from the 17th. I accepted mine within an hour of getting the email and it said January to March. Seems like other people in the evening and next day we’re getting February to April. That’s actually hopeful if they’re that, well controlled that we will all be getting them in the next couple months.

Absolutely! NFW there are 80000 invites, very narrow minded take. Ask me how I know this as a fact... I am in Fremont, I own a Model X, reserved a Tri-Motor with FSD on reveal night(within milliseconds of the configurator opening) and have the single lowest reservation number to be published on this forum(to my knowledge)... I DID NOT GET THE INVITE!

FYI
No there is nothing wrong with my account.... Yes I have the correct address... Yes I own TSLA stock, Yes I am a X premium checkmark, and NO, tesla service cannot "help". AND FINALLY I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE! So, NO, there are not 80k People that have received the invite, please stop this nonsense. Tesla is sending invites out in a way that NOBODY knows the complete reasoning. and since tesla has literally the worst customer service of any company known to have existed in modern times... good luck finding out anything.
Hyperbole much? ? ā€œand since Tesla has literally the worst customer service of any company known to have existed in modern timesā€¦ā€

Though I am not arguing your frustration… that level of hyperbole seems a bit much (or a lot much)

I got my invite the 17th but don’t check my email often. I only checked after seeing an X post. I accepted the AWD evening of the 18th. I hope these time frames are solid as I secured financing today at 6.7%.

They've been leaps and bounds better than the customer service I've received with my other cars.
How can you beat going to an app, stating your problem and then someone arrives at your car to fix it?

I agree. Ongoing service from an owners perspective has been the best I’ve ever experienced. The app, communication through the app, availability of service, all next level. However, presale communication is almost non existent. Answering the big and little questions that cause 5 pages of conjecture on this site can be easily answered by Tesla. Two very different sides of the coin.

There's a LOT of information on their web site about the details of the car.
Try ordering a vehicle from a conventional manufacturer, amazingly, if they even let you, the communication is even worse. Like it isn't uncommon that they sell your car to someone else.

Don’t know if this is the right thread for this comment, but I’m thinking the 1Q delivery expectation is another Tesla scam. If we are entering orders and deliveries correctly, out of 600 orders completed and entereed on this forum in December, only 11 people have VINs? There is no ā€˜effing way that adds up. Makes me think some December orders won’t be getting their CT until June or so. Plus the odacity of placing FSCTs in dealerships as sales bait before delivering to people waiting for 5 years? I think their is a law against customer mental abuse. I’m old, how about elder abuse? I’m waiting for my VIN, but I am lowering my expectations on delivery and range.

I dunno. ā€œScamā€ seems pretty dramatic. I would say that I wouldn’t not be surprised at all if they miss these delivery dates.

Tesla has long been known for being fashionable late…. ?

the ā€œelder abuseā€ comment did make me chuckle. I’m a terrible person….

There are obviously more deliveries that are what on this forum's list.
Tesla has NEVER displayed a vehicle in a dealership!!!
People want to see the Cybertruck, that's why they are in the stores.

You're old, a little Alzheimer's and are prone to abusive outbursts? There's a drug for that.

Yes, obviously more deliveries, but the point I am making is we have maybe 50 FSCT ordered on 12/8 and only 11 showing as received. You would think with 50 first day orders, all 50 would have their CT by now. When I said "dealerships" I intended to refer to the Tesla stores around the country. Whether they are stores or dealerships, Tesla has FSCT on display in them. There is one in my town with a FSCT on display. The sales person said it is not for sale. You say "people want to see the CT". Yes, they do, but it isn't like they need to show off the CT to get more sales of CT with 2 million of them on backorder. People can see the CT when it is driving around by the new owner. They have the CTs in the STORE(?) to improve their sales of other Tesla's, and no other reason. Sure, people want to see the CT, but there are 2 million reservationists that want to take delivery of the CT they reserved 5 years ago. I don't mean to fight with you about this, I'm just thinking we are still in the Elon mode of promising deliveries in 1Q when in reality deliveries will be more like mid-year.
