You know how Tesla is getting too many lawsuits? This is one way of decreasing their liability from faulty installations.

Not really, but ok. Tesla would like people to be trained on things, yes but as we have seen. They have opened up even powerwalls for purchase. Any licensed electrician can do the job. I am sure in time it will be fine for it to be done to code and as we become more familiar with the product.

I really don't know but how much is the 6 month/ 1 year free supercharging really worth in $$$?

Thanks for sharing. I know I would appreciate more updates on what you like and don’t like as you use it more. Hearing real experiences from real owners would be super interesting. Almost all online clips and videos are from YouTubers using the truck to blow up their YouTube side hustle. I don’t know how much I trust those folk just because they benefit from clickbait or whitewashing. Thanks in advance.

Agreed. Not very much to me. Nearest Supercharger is over 150 miles away, that I never go that way. Other is across an international border and 70 miles away.

If anyone is able to delay install or is moving I think it might be helpful to get this information.

Congratulations, all the reviews I've read all talk about how quiet it is in the cabin when driving.
I watched one from Throttle House and they said it made all kinds of creaks and interior noise from pieces rubbing together.
What's your experience?

One thing that sort of bothers me, is I got a Samsung S24 Ultra last week and I notice the CT wireless charger is very fast (which heats up my phone). It would be nice if there was a way to set it to not do fast charging from the console since usually I don't need it to be fast.

I don't hear creaks and interior noise, but do hear some road noise from the tires on rougher paved roads. Of course it was raining yesterday so maybe need more time to give a true judgement on this. But my passengers thought it was noisier than they thought it would be (but neither one of them had an EV).

That’s great, thank you very much.
Lastly, is there a load mode or anything like that. Front suspension raised and rear lowered to make loading motorcycles or whatever easier?
Thanks again

Did the Tesla staff mention powershare gateways and powershare chargers?
Yes, They emailed me that I am eligible and that in next few days the installer would call me to install. Took delivery today! It was awesome!

That's something to be controlled from the phone, not the charger.

I know I can from the phone, but I don't want to fast charge only in the truck. I want to everywhere else.

I bought this to replace my 3 since I want to do more camping with a camper. Definitely feels like a big vehicle inside, I think mainly because of the dash. You tend to forget that the edge of the windshield isn't the front of the car, so need to be careful. The camera on the front is a handy addition. I did a drive from Dublin to Palo Alto last night on the rain and it did wonderfully.

FYI, right now there is no autopilot, FSD or automatic wipers. T looks like it has heated mirrors but I'm not sure if it has a heated wiper blade or not (which was very handy for me recently when we went to Mt Shasta in our Y).

If you are used to a Tesla, the UI will feel pretty normal but many things have changed location. Also coming from a 3 and Y it's screen is noticably bigger. I am getting used to not having a stalk, but I noticed the right turn signal sometimes doesn't press right. Steering wheel is heated but seems like it's more of the sides that are heated but the top and bottom do get some heat. I did also notice there's a blind spot light in the pillar speaker which I tried to show in one of these pictures.

A far as value, assuming the FSD is $7k of the foundation series, I'm not sure there is $13k more value other than getting your truck sooner, which was valuable for me so I'm glad I got it but if you don't want it right away I can see waiting for non foundation series. I wish it came with the tent attachment with foundation (maybe snow chains too), then I think it would have been a good value. It did come with installed weather mats, power share mobile connector in the bed storage, and carpet mats and glass shade in a bag. Also looks like the front license plate mount is a screw on, unlike other Teslas that are a sticker.

Also regarding delivery, I had ordered 12/8 and got my VIN 1/13. After like 2 weeks of no update, I called the main Tesla sales number and they told me my truck was in Dublin but wasn't ready yet to delivery. So I went down there and talked with them and they were able to schedule me. So I'd say if you have had a VIN for awhile you could try to do the same and see if you have luck too. I was also told trucks built between 12/10 and 12/20 don't have wheel covers and to schedule a service appointment in March to give them time to get more made.

Let me know if there's anything you guys want to see.

I don't see any way to do that unfortunately. Maybe a future update.

So a few more updates. I did find the icon for the heated wiper andi turned it on for 10 minutes but I couldn't find anywhere that heated up. I did feel some heat from the side view mirrors.

I tried pairing headphones to the rear screen but looks like we don't have the holiday update yet, so I can't.

One other thing, the visors don't move down at all. So if you move it to the side window, it will only help you if you are tall. I'm 6'2" with a long torso and it barely covered my eyes. It also doesn't pull out to extend but I don't think there is a need to because it's as long as the window.
