With the addition of AC outlets, including 220V, there may be an opportunity for a much faster air compressor for airing up after being on the trails as compared to even the best 12V compressors. However, it seems the highest output compressors are typically paired with the biggest tanks and not suited to sitting in a truck bed. What are people planning? Would it be worth trying to get a 220V compressor head with no or a small tank to fill tires (and maybe even also run an air impact driver for the lug nuts after a flat)?

There is a video showing an air connection behind one of the fender flares. For tires and occasional use, I would be looking to tap into that, plumb a permanent line to somewhere in the bed. No idea how difficult that will be until I get mine, but since the truck already has a large tank and compressor this would be my first choice. Unless you're talking about serious duty use case, then I'd get something like a roofing compressor with high CFM but small tank.

I think that port behind the flare is just access for the air suspension and maybe the battery pressurization for wade mode. I haven’t seen anything to suggest you can tap into the air suspension compressor for airing tires. It would be cool if that had been built in but doesn’t seem to be the case. I’d love to be wrong on that though.

Agree it’s not designed for it. But if you tap into it, will it work? Can you tap into tank directly? Heck if I know, but there are always ways…

Like the song says, country boy can survive ?

probably it can be done but given I’m worried that the air suspension will have durability issues that I hope would be covered under warranty, I’ll not want to do anything to give them an out on that system. They already have a big out in suspension being a wear item but it can still be a warranty claim if failed rather than just wear. I loved the air suspension on my old ram but still was nervous about costly leaks.

Would a scuba tank or nitrogen tank and regulator be a wiser choice?

That could certainly be quiet and doesn't need power in the field but when it's empty it's empty. Not a bad thought to consider though. I'd probably rather have a compressor to keep it live.
