I have good experience with Xpel XR Plus in the past, but my local shop has Llumar IRX that they can install rather quickly. Anyone has experience with the IRX? Are you happy with the heat rejection and low glare?
TIA!

Xpel XR Plus is better by the numbers (TSER and IRER), but Llumar has been around for decades.

@Carmino and @espresso-drumbeat , thanks for your inputs! Although the difference in performance on paper might not mean significant difference in real use cases, I am also leaning towards Xpel given I was happy with it in the past and it's probably not worth the little risk.

My CT is currently being tinted with the Xpel as we post!

I’ll take pics when it’s done if you’d like?

Will do! 70 on the windshield and top glass. 35 on the sides. 30 is as dark as one can go in Utah and they do enforce it. Hahah

Nice. I am considering 70 for windshield and top, but 55 for the front windows and 30 for the rear. If your 70 for front windows doesn't look too dark, I'll consider it (any amount of tint on the front windows is technically illegal in CA btw). Looking forward to pictures and your feedback!

55% on the front sides is already incredibly light and I doubt you'd ever have an issue with law enforcement. I wouldn't even bother with 70% on the front sides, it'll just look stock.

I agree. But I'm wondering between 55 and 30 for the front windows. Will 30 be too dark is the question

I went with 30% and am quite happy with it. I typically always go 15% but wanted something a touch lighter since I'll be driving at night in poorly lit areas a lot.

I have had Xpel plus on 5 cars now and highly recommend it. 3m crystalline would be my second choice.
