I noticed this morning in the early light that there appears to be a light stripper texture on my rear panel. It's not apparent unless you look in the right light and angel, it was pouring rain when we picked it up. Is this something you have seen before?

I could best describe it using vertical stripes on the panel, which could quite compare to the driver's side, as the lighting was dissimilar. I will try moving it around later today to see if I can better observe.

thanks, B

Updated with delivery notes:

Pickup notes -
  • The staff was friendly but slammed. Lots of other customers were picking up various models of Teslas.
    • It looked like 6 CTs were getting juiced for customer pickup.
    • At least one other was a Cyberbeast.
    • Tesla advisor said this was the 4th CB, delivered from this site so far.
  • The truck was not very clean, but in fairness, It was pouring rain, so the inspection was abbreviated. So, we need to notify Tesla of any concerns soon; thus, the ask on the panel banding.
  • The interior of the windshield was so foggy that I was having trouble seeing at some points. I blasted the defrost for a while and thought it might be poorly designed because it wasn't getting any clearer. I pulled over and realized it was just a very dirty interior windshield.
  • Otherwise, the build quality seems pretty good.
  • The battery was charged to 80% at pickup. I have driven about 70 miles (mixed), and I have an estimated 43%/131 miles range left.
    • Did do some sitting in it playing with settings, stereo, a bit of sentry mode. My first EV/Tesla

I thought I submitted via the form last night, not sure it it populates immediately, if it does I must have missed a step.

I'm not sure when VIN showed up, but I wasn't watching the App that close, I got a text a few days before I picked it up; according to Tesla, the truck was MFG on 2/28.
Delivery 2/23/24

Nope, said it would come later; same with wheel covers.
We need to follow up on the Powershare/Charger installation. Did an online survey in Jan.

Overall thoughts on the vehicle? Especially since it's your first EV/Tesla

I'm driving it on a long trip this coming weekend, so I will have a better response after a few more miles and after I have made a few charging stops.

I will say this - It drives nothing like any truck I've had (I've been driving full-size American trucks since I got my license too many years ago). It is similar to my (heavy) performance sedan. It is surprisingly maneuverable, responsive, and the gittyup (wow.) It does feel like the design resulted in some significant sacrifices on visibility, but maybe it just takes some getting used to.

Cadillac had an ad campaign... years ago... "When you turn your car on, does it return the favor?”
When you press the accelerator in the CT, I can't help but grin from ear to ear!

This truck is a thrill to drive!

The bending in the sail is because the panel is not perfeclty flat. You can see this in glossy black wrapped trucks too..Tsportsline can confirm by looking at their black CT.
