Ahh the conundrum of having problems, complaining about them publicly, then wanting to get paid.
They stole basically the whole article verbatim, so yeah, the forum and the poster would have claim to copyright.

I'm not arguing, of course it's copyright. I'm saying it's a conundrum because now who is going to spend the time to "go after them" and make it cost effective or prevent it in the future. Conundrum.

PS. They also stole my post with all of the statistical graphs, to which I said "meh."

How much does it cost to write out a DMCA takedown letter?

At one website you can hire their services in "less than 3 mins" and pay $199 per domain. Seems expensive. Lawyers quoted as "starting at $2,500"

According to some law firms they will do it starting at $2500 and another website you can hire their services in "less than 3 mins" and pay $199 per domain. Seems expensive. Lawyers quoted as "starting at $2,500"
It's just a form letter. No lawyer required.

Except that I dare say that during joining this forum, you gave the forum rights to your messages.

You are correct, you gave them rights to display, etc. For reference, all social media posts, memes, imagery, etc are automatically copyrighted by the original author, creator, etc. You grant the platform limited rights to actually put it out to the world, but you are still the owner. Legally established for a long time now.

Problems exist for some of us. It’s radical/new tech and early in the ramp after all. Then again, many others (I suspect the majority) are quite happy (and quiet) with minimal, if any problems. "Fear Porn" is what everything is about these days to generate clicks and revenue, supported by those folks with a severe case of confirmation bias and a slew of short-sellers trying to gain back what they’ve lost betting against T$LA in the past. What’s that ratio of noisy negative XP to quiet positive a.k.a. silent majority? 1:14 or something? If the majority of Cybertrucks were piles of horribly-designed junk, as inferred by the article and comments, I don’t think we’d need “Jalopnik” to tell us that.

To each it's own.

This must be in our constitution. ?

Who is complaining.? I sent to all my friends and they thought of me as now famous.

Gave them another reason to nag me into writing as they think I'm witty and funny.

I may if I can monetize it.:D

You know your copyrights law.

Indeed, there is such thing as intellectual property rights.

Although mine has no "intellectual" in it.

For what it's worth, I think you have a good sense of humor. The complaining I was referring to was the "Wtf moment" post of origin when in reality it was more like a "request for information." Cheers!
