I DO NOT WANT AFTERMARKET TIRES - so recommending me some other style or brand is pointless. I like the look of the OEM and the matching cover.

ATs
Goodyear Wrangler Territory RT Tires - 285/65R20

So far I've found them in 2 places -

https://www.tiremart.com/goodyear-wrangler-territory-rt-lt-285-65r20-r-t-rugged-terrain-tire/

and

https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tire...&autoModel=Cybertruck&autoModClar=LT285/65-20

they have the tires at Discount but seemingly the sidewall is not the same...

https://www.discounttire.com/buy-tires/goodyear-wrangler-territory-rt/p/149312

I have not inquired at Tesla proper to see their pricing and availability.

Just wondering if anyone else has plowed this road before me... I prefer Discount Tire but it looks like I will have to order and get them to do the install.

I don't have the OEM hubcaps yet but I would but the cheaper tires as long as the tires are all the same. Luckily, I was abe to grab a used pair in prep of these not lasting 75000 miles like the Michelins on my ridgeline.

Very interested in this as well.

Just curious @sgmorton:
1. How many miles did you get out of your tires?
2. How often (if, at all) did you rotate?

Rotated twice, I'm at about 21K right now with about 5-7/32nds left so I think maybe I get to 25-27K?

TireRack and Discount tire are the same - go with them. For my Model Y, Tesla wanted 225 just to install tires.

But make sure to visit your local Discount tire so you can gauge their confidence level of doing the job correctly. Talk with the manager to double check they can do it.

When I first just got the truck, I asked the service center about availability of the OEM tires (if I had a flat, or when they eventual wore out). They said they are a stocked item at the SC. So it can’t hurt to also call your local SC for price and availability (just as a comparison to the other suggestions). As they’ll definitely be exact OEM like the originals.

I get EVERYTHING done at Tesla. I don’t care to pay the premium for the peace of mind. I know that TESLA will handle the vehicle perfectly, give me a loaner if I need one (usually a Cybertruck or plaid x) and if in the off chance that anything else gets damaged they will just replace it no questions asked

there is no real substitution for quality service

If only the service center were easy to get in to... or close by.

I’m lucky I guess, I have one very close to me. I’ve also never had to go to one for an emergency (vehicle disabled), so I can’t comment on how that’s handled by mine.

Why do you infect every thread you enter with your mindless drivel?

The appearance is that you are only here to disrupt and devalue the forum and drive sincere people away. I've never seen you add a single thing of value to any thread you've entered.

Good Year makes that specific tire for the Cybertruck (i.e. at minimum, the wheel cover tabs align directly with the pattern on the side wall). It’s very likely the rest of that tire compound / tread pattern is based on another tire that they already manufacture, but for sure, the side wall mold is custom for Tesla, and came as Original Equipment from the Manufacturer (OEM to Tesla) on their Cybertruck. If he wants that exact tire with that same exact compound, tread, and side molding, he must buy the Good Year with the same tire part number that is specifically made by them for Tesla. If he replaces them with a set of Wranglers or other without the side wall pattern (KO3, Grapplers, etc), they’ll work fine, but they definitely will not have the side wall molding that aligns with the Tesla wheel covers. Whether or not that tire has a foam insert for road noise (common on other EV specific tires), or other features specified by Tesla, I can’t answer to. OEM specific tires made by leading tire manufacturers specifically for car manufacturer’s is pretty common. An extreme case being the ones made for the Bugatti Veyron by Michelin, designed for the extreme speed and forces this car produces. No one thinks these tires are made by Buggati, but Buggati recommends their owners use them, as they were specifically designed with input from their engineers for thier cars.
