More accurate to report all the way to the 10-thousandth at 6.9420 miles.Hard to tell but I hear you get 6.942 more miles.I'm guessing it doesn't make that much of a difference though.
Here are a few CAD renders for our Mirror Delete Kit:

The Geek Stuff:
We ended up using special ABS for the bracket due to its high strength, high temp, and overall quality. The melt index is pretty high, which means that it'll withstand Arizona's heat in the summer without issues. The same goes for the adhesive that was used to bond the two together. No jokes, I've dropped the bracket with the plate at least 10 times and threw it like a baseball. Does not separate.
Our team is actively working on assembling this over the weekend and we can't wait to get these out to you. Have a great weekend, everyone!
That's fair. It stays intact since the flap is secure to the door. It flushes and there is a little cutout so it sits flush to the rubber part.To be honest with you, the only thing i don't like it, is the rubber part that it is left flapping around.
would love to get the plastic version if it is indeed something you guys will make in the near future.Yeah, pretty much the same. If you're wrapping it, aluminum will be fine. The CT Steel is unique since it's cut from the actual door. If there's enough interest, we may eventually develop a plastic version. It'll be significantly cheaper in that case.
Absolutely! It's on our pipeline already! It shouldn't take too long since we already made all the CAD and designs.would love to get the plastic version if it is indeed something you guys will make in the near future.
It’s a change in scan and habit patterns but you can learn to properly use all the info the truck has to drive safely without any mirrors (rear camera view shows nobody approaching in the lane, then signaling and confirming the synthetic display is clear, lack of red bar on the side camera view, & lack of red LED light shows nobody is in or about to be in your blindspot).Really well made and will give the truck a much cleaner look. I am confident with the cameras but did a quick driving test and I am using my side mirrors when not in FSD
I was pretending I didn’t have rear view mirrors today and noticed that the rear camera actually has a much wider field of view and sees the traffic better than the rear view mirrors. Then there is also the front fender cameras that take the place of the rear view mirrors. Should be just fine without the mirrors. It’s a change in scan and habit patterns but you can learn to properly use all the info the truck has to drive safely without any mirrors (rear camera view shows nobody approaching in the lane, then signaling and confirming the synthetic display is clear, lack of red bar on the side camera view, & lack of red LED light shows nobody is in or about to be in your blindspot).
I mean, that was the intended configuration/ui/user experience. The mirrors are there simply because the government says that they have to be.I was pretending I didn’t have rear view mirrors today and noticed that the rear camera actually has a much wider field of view and sees the traffic better than the rear view mirrors. there is a video somewhere on this board that shows and proves the vehicle was less efficient without the mirrors. this mod is just so you can have a certain look to the vehicle.I am aware of all the variables, but did anyone test what the energy efficiency is without the mirrors?
Oh yeah, the CT as my first Tesla has been a learning curve and changing habits to take full advantage of the interface.....initially seems odd but then become and extension of your driving profile. Now when I get back in my other cars I have to relearn the old ways again. It is a challenge I enjoy just like when I drive a manual shifting car.

Hey y'all,
Shortly after we got our Cybertruck last year, we were lucky enough to get our hands on an actual CT door. Of course, we did the first thing any normal person would do—we tested how vinyl removability was. Then, we cut it up into a bunch of pieces. ?
Why? Because we wanted to plug that mirror hole. A ton of you have been asking for a solution, and honestly, it took us a minute to get it just right. We tried a bunch of stuff. We thought about going over the steel, but nah, didn’t love the look. Tried under it, still not it. We tightened up the margins and got it to fit snug. Even tried welding (because why not), but getting it to look clean and consistent was a pain.
After all that trial and error, we finally landed on a solution we’re hyped about. It holds up in extreme heat (lookin' at you, Arizona) and the freezing cold up north. Basically, it's built to last like the Cybertruck.
We’re opening up a pre-sale this Friday. Heads up—it’s a super limited run because getting more CT stainless steel is pretty much a long shot. And because we love y'all, we’re throwing a little surprise gift in each order. ?Oh, also, we'll include an open-sourced SVG file so you can plot it and wrap the cover if you want.
Stay tuned. This one's gonna go quick.

Unfortunately, it'll be pretty impossible for steel to match since it's from a different batch, but at least it's the real deal.
