If buyers get a foundation, it comes with FSD.
That is true. The new Model Y Launch Edition also comes with FSD. And the Models S/X currently include a free paid option with FSD purchase, which is in effect a discount on FSD.

However, 2024 and 2025 non-Foundation Cybertrucks don't come with FSD. If you buy one of those, and you already bought FSD for your old Tesla, you will not get FSD on your new non-Foundation CT, unless (1) you pay Tesla for FSD again, or (2) Tesla brings back FSD transfer.

With an original Foundation Series truck like I have. Is the FSD transferable in anyway?
1. Can I transfer it to another Tesla?
2. Does FSD stay with the Foundation Series if sold?

It stays with the truck.

There's no FSD transfer currently and in the past they do things like FSD transfer applicable to all models except (it was the CT last year). I would assume it will remain that way for the FS since it came with the truck.

Okay thank you.

I may have to jump on a FS Beast if they drop to a zero % and Free Supercharging.

1. No
2. Yes

Sometimes (but not right now) Tesla offers "FSD Transfer" as a sales incentive. In that case, if you own an old Telsa and paid for FSD, you can buy a new Tesla and transfer your FSD to the new vehicle. This makes a new Tesla more attractive, because it essentially comes with free FSD (assuming you no longer need FSD on your old Tesla).

However, I doubt that Foundation Series Cybertrucks will ever be eligible for FSD Transfer. I think Tesla probably views FSD as an integral component of the Foundation Series, so it stays with the truck.

Just canceled my
Existing order and reordered the same car. Got the 1.99%
Same here. I was able to keep the same VIN and aiming to keep the same delivery date but I did lose the $250 (which is a known) and also lost my early reservation holder $1k discounted FSD at $7k. Not a huge deal, still saving thousands overall.

This exactly plus they technically have a larger hit on resale value already. No advantage unless you are looking foundation IMO.
Yea unless you want the foundation badge it is still a bad deal. Tesla will need to pull the lever harder I think to move the 2024s.

I still don't get why anyone would get the foundation series at this point, unless they've been oblivious to all the recalls/fixes and wouldn't be eligible for the $7,500 discount.
Tesla will have to do a $8-$10,000 inventory discount to move the Foundation Series I think

Just ordered. Saying delivery will be in 2 days. Must have a few on the lot.
Both the Tesla service center / stores near me have 40+ in the lot, no shortage of inventory.

The $7k was already gone, they did not honor the original FSD pricing with reservations, unfortunately.

$250 is well worth burning for the better rate if your financing.
