I have had a few including some lady flipping me off and seeming to have a meld down in her car about.....I am assuming the CT, yelling incoherently and flipping me off all with her windows up in a little Miata. I know I didn't cut her off since she just entered traffic off another road and pulled up next to me at the light. Hope there is a medication for whatever that is or at least the village knows she got out!

I've been getting an average of 1 middle finger every 10 miles from oncoming traffic on a major two lane highway in a rural area.

Many of the "gesturers" have been driving Subaru Outbacks.

I just smile and wave, and hope it cheers them up a little.
No way, 1 every 10 miles???? That would get to me pretty quickly. Is it the same person during your commute every day?

I’m genuinely surprised when I go a whole day without getting flipped off.

Same here... I've been getting the one finger salute on daily basis now. I must admit though it's getting to my nerves at this point especially if it happens when I am driving my kids somewhere and they see it.

No, I don't think so. It seems like mostly people in their 20's (there is a college town nearby).

It you watch Whaam Baam Teslacam, other Tesla's get the salute. Heck, they were even getting keyed a few years back when sentry mode went live, quite a few videos of that.
Are there more now? Yes, because of the upheaval of politics.
I had a Y and I got coal rolled within the first 3 days I owned it in 2023. I never noticed fingers because I don't look at the other drivers, I watch the vehicles..
It's never a non-zero possibility.
Not sure why people feel like Tesla hate is a new thing. Our first Tesla got keyed at a high school football game in 2019, by some redneck in a Tony Stewart shirt. Sentry mode was a new thing so we were able to show the local police. They knew who he was immediately and found him. The funny thing is I get far less "hate" in my Cybertruck than I ever did in that model 3.

It is not new, but the amount of it seems to be getting out of hand. Averaging 1 middle finger every 100 miles or so is crazy compared to say a 6 months ago.

Hard to engage in a discussion on this topic without getting political when literally all of the hate being directed at TESLA is POLITICAL.

THIEF!?! LoL, I like it
I said when I got mine it will be semi-gloss black with the umbrella logo on the hood, the front driver and passenger doors and I'll probably have a raccoon city thing on the back. That won't be for another two years though as I'm still on my current 'outreach program' with my stickers.

On a positive note, as today is DQ free icecream cone day for spring 1st, I had about 10 kids thrilled to see the cybertruck in line at DQ (5-12 yrs). A couple of them kept yelling "cybertruck, cybertruck".
That was nice and refreshing, some of the parents not so nice with their looks but I just smiled.

Yes I took my kids to get their free icecream cone too.

Today, my wife and I wandered into this stunning bonsai nursery in Sebastopol, CA—serene floral vibes on sprawling acreage.

We got chatting with the owner, a woman, about our US travels and tech/AI trends, when she made a sly joke about us pulling up in a Cybertruck, hinting we’d never fit the type since it’d be the dumbest move ever.

Thing is, we rolled up in a rental—our Cybertruck’s still on the way (delivery’s any day now)—so we just grinned and let it pass. Later, I told my wife—originally from Canada—that it’s wild how even in a peaceful, N. California spot in the mountains like that, you get these bold, off-base takes.

Can’t wait to see what people say once we’re driving it!

On that note, I caught an X post of a guy with an automatic Elon pop-up—two thumbs up—rising from the tailgate for anyone flipping him off. Brilliant.

Anyone know where to grab one?

It will be crazy polarizing and often in the weirdest places. I was very surprised and unexpecting.

As far as the Elon popup, if its the same posts I've seen, he is still working on it and doing it himself. I think its similar to what people are doing to close the tailgate by using a rope and opening the tonneau cover. Not a finalized product but there has been a lot of interest in it.

Well, today in my area I was flipped off twice, had a guy pantomime shooting me, and had some teenage girls think they were super funny for loudly exclaiming how ugly cybertrucks are before climbing into a '91 Mercedes station wagon.

So about average.

I get tempted when I see another CT, but don't as if they are not in on the joke don't want to cause any more stress.
I kinda like this as our version of the Jeep wave ?

If I saw someone in another CT flipping me off it would make my day.
