Just fyi, New Jersey Turnpike will no longer have Tesla Superchargers.

Looks like they've been building 116 stalls right off of the Turnpike knowing NJ was going to do something so stupid...and make life worse for EV owners while probably wasting taxpayer dollars.

Why am I not surprised. This state always has its hand out for something, I am sure this alternative solution provided more of a kickback to them and I'm also sure these chargers will charge customers more and be broken 95% of the time leaving people stranded - Until they have to crawl back with their tail between their legs. It'll work out great, just like it did with their plastic bag ban, they only tripled the amount of plastic thrown out with that brilliant idea.

never heard of applegreen electric chargers. I did notice in connecticut when I was there a couple weeks ago they seemed to have removed superchargers from their highway stops too and changed to some kind of universal charger. Maybe the same company?

I could see adding another company to the charging availability, but not removing one to replace with another. In the end people will use what is economical and convenient. I’ve see some new chargers going up in Florida but none faster and cheaper than Tesla. At super chargers my average price has been 38 cents per kilowatt. Charging speed is another story. The newer Tesla charges start out very fast and quickly slow down even when batteries have been preconditioned on route. The best locations in Florida are occupied by Tesla now.

#5 New York 1,062

There are states with more Superchargers than New Jersey -- but they are all much, much larger. I would bet that in terms of Tesla Supercharger density (i.e. Superchargers per square mile), New Jersey is easily #1.

There are valid reasons to not visit New Jersey. However, lack of Superchargers is not one of them.

Looks like they've been powered down already. Seeing multiple posts online confirming legacy chargers are decommissioned.

Yeah, Tesla was charging $.39 per kwh. Applegreen with their exclusive is charging $.59 per kwh. Have to get the kickback added in.
