any trade in options for the version 1 to the new version?
We added side storage to V1 as well, and we’ll be releasing these soon

Unfortunately we Only stayed in Moab for a couple of days and didn't get to that side of the river. It looks really interesting, and we'll go there the next time we're in Moab. My advice to anyone thinking about going to Moab. Just do it, And set aside a LOT of time. There's just so much to do!

So, you had mentioned easier to install, but is this thing also going to be easier to remove than the version 1? Is it something you could conceivably hoist up onto the roof of your garage until you go camping?

Yeah, v2 is much easier to install. It’s basically three large pre-assembled pieces per side, plus the top crossbar. You can definitely hang it from the ceiling or uninstall it easily.
Just remove the top crossbar first (it takes less than 10 seconds per crossbar if you’re using a power tool).

Then take out the four 17mm bolts on each side, and you can remove each side as a whole piece. Or you can disconnect the sections by removing the six bolts and nuts in between.

Hope this helps!

Same here. We only stayed a couple days and missed that side of the river too. It looks awesome and it's definitely on the list for next time. We’ll be staying longer for sure, there's just so much to do out there!

I have couple questions about enclosed version.

i) Since I want to hang some stuffs underneath the rack, how much gap do I have between crossbars and ceiling panels?

ii) For ceiling panels, do they have some mounting holes or just fully enclosed flat panels?

Much appreciated!

i) Exactly 1 inch. The ceiling panels can be mounted from the top or bottom. (The front two ceiling panels must be mounted from the top since there’s not enough room underneath.)

So you can mount your rooftop tent onto the crossbars first, just like with the rack, and then install the last four ceiling panels from underneath. As long as the tent’s mounting bolts don’t stick out more than 1 inch beyond the crossbar, you’re good.

ii) For mounting things under the ceiling panels, there aren’t preset mounting holes - but each panel has two T-tracks on the underside! These are designed for our ceiling MOLLE panels or anything that uses M6. For example, you can slide this M6 eye bolts anywhere along the t track and use them with ratchet straps to secure a surfboard under the ceiling.

Hope that helps! ?

Just wondering how strong the mounting points are. I noticed in the install video there is only a single bolt at each pillar?

Also what is the height and width of the crossbar?
