Was looking at these on Amazon. $80 seems like mostly cybertax. Wondering if any of you have experience with them and can comment on whether they are worth it.

I think they need to be mounted 180 degree of how they are mounted in the picture. That’s almost useless in that position, unless you like your straps all tangled

180 degrees so with the ratchet facing the other way in the bed?
I can see that. Might be useful that way for winching stuff up my Tesla ramps too

I see. So perpendicular to the l-track. But then there would only be one mounting point.

Yes this is more practical.

The first link would be good if you’re looking to secure something up against the side walls of the bed.
Maybe a propane tank or something like that.
I don’t like the second one just trying to figure out why they have the handle pointing downwards in the picture. I kind of pictured it mounted the opposite of that

There are nice looking options by strapinno and rhino straps that are self retracting and mountable. Here is an example.

I’m a total noob when it comes to these. Does it make more sense to mount them to the L-track or a couple of the floor d-ring locations?

At least they sell those now. 250 doll-hairs for RWD buyers

Need a pivoting base (with a spring-loaded detent) so that they can be rotated in a variety of orientations (across the bed, parallel to the bed, at 45 degree in either direction).

I don’t know about ā€œmountableā€ but since I discovered these I will never go back to regular ratchet straps.

What do you like about them? Read the marketing stuff, is the spring thing very useful?
is there a particular size you would recommend for our vault?
