Tried Car Pro’s Iron X today and had amazing results. Wanted to try this because I couldn’t find many videos or info online. For reference, I live at 6800 ft in CO and had quite a bit of deposits on the panels from the winter that looked like little rust spots (Mag chloride or whatever from the roads). I have only touch less washed or used ONR and have had it for a year so it was due for a decontamination. I was going to use BKF and windex or citrisurf77 but couldn’t find much on Iron X so here we are:
Application was super easy and the results were awesome.
What I did:
- Quick wash on panels - ONR
- Sprayed iron X on panel (did one at a time)
- Let sit for 3 minutes (instructions say 3-5 but it started to dry after 3 or so) DONT LET IT DRY and be mindful of overspray
- After 3+ min, chem should be dark purple. Wet microfiber or sponge, rub it into panel in circles
- Rinse really well and dry
- avoid doing it in direct sunlight
I did one more quick wash at the very end. Truck has never looked more shiny and clean. Glad I tried this before doing all the work with BKF. I’m sure BKF gives great results but this was super quick and easy.
