Hey, does anyone have a screen swivel they recommend - one where they were able to install it without any of the issues others have posted on here? Or if anyone knows of any good sales on them since they've been available for a while now? Do you like having the swivel option and have you had any issues with it? I've been hesitant to do it because I always worry about voiding the warranty, but I think I want to bite the bullet and maybe get one, I'm tired of leaning over to reach the screen. Thanks, I appreciate it.

Take this for what it is- just my opinion- but i personally would not mess with the screen at all, as it is the primary “user interface” of the vehicle, and if ANYTHING goes wrong during the warranty period and Tesla detects that a modification could have even remotely had anything to do with it, they will decline to fix it under warranty. If this isnt a factor for you then go ahead!

I bought this one from Tescybermods. I have no idea what others have done or what issues they had. This one worked fine, was fairly easy to install. No issues whatsoever. It does what it's supposed to do.

That looks like the same components that come in the rest of the kits.
This fixes the number one problem that I've seen https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V1WHDKL
And as far as the screen being lower instead of higher, all the kits seem to do this. Flipping them upside down creates an annoying arc because of the build design (I tried it for a bit).

I hate when people try to talk an OP out of a mod they are genuinely trying to get help with, but I totally agree with this.
I’ve watched the installation videos and could never get excited about changing what is arguably the most important connector in the cabin for a dinky little usb-c that moves.
Plus, one other point, my under-screen storage tray is possibly the most useful thing I have installed in my truck ever.
I even added lights to it on another thread and I literally use it every time I get in the car. I would not give it up for a screen swivel.

still really love that profile pic @JCERRN. Think about that @dalton108 thread every time I see it.

I have had mine from @Anysix for a while. I believe all the kits come from the same factory. IMHO, it is the single best accessory I have installed. No problems at all.

you’re not the first person I’ve heard say that. What do you like about the swivel?

Literally, the first time I got into a Cybertruck I grabbed the screen and tried to cant it towards me so I could both reach and view it easier. This was before I did anything else. I was shocked to find it was fixed and not tiltable.

Now, with the swivel kit installed, it is much easier to read and select items. Also, if the passenger wants to do a deep dive into something on the screen it can be swiveled that way and then back to driver when done. It is simply more ergonomically correct. I am glad I have it every time I get into the vehicle.

I agree with everything said so far - I've been hesitant to do it because the screen is literally the whole truck so I was scared to mess with it and I didn't want to void the warranty. At the same time, I was trying to do something on the screen the other day and found myself leaning over for a good 20 min before I realized it and thought this is ridiculous, so I started researching the swivel again. One time when my truck was in for service they gave me a model X plaid loaner and the screen was tilted and I wondered why the CT didn't have this.

For those of you who have it, does it make a huge difference? Is it one of those take it or leave it accessories or a game changer? Thanks

Apparently these are made by one manufacturer and sold by a variety of vendors. They have since modified the USB connector so it cannot detach (push clip). Prices have come down- Amazon is your friend. I have had mine for at least six months and find it user friendly. If you worry about warranty issues, the system can be reversed in about 20 mins.

Ah ok, thanks for the heads up - I didn't know they are literally all made by the same manufacturer, they all did look similar though. So I guess at this point the only difference would be price since it's the same anyhow, I'll check amazon, thanks. Do you know if there is a different model or part number that comes with the updated USB connector? If I do order one, I'd want to get the new cable.

Every swivel screen kit on the market are all the same. They are private branded out of CHina, so get it wherever you get the best price. They do work good. I don’t regret mine at all.
