We took a trip up to the Pacific Northwest through the Oregon sand dunes, Portland, and parts of Olympic national park. Here are some photos of “Bebop” out on the dunes and being used to transport cargo, and have picnics along the way.

The truck performed admirably in the dunes and did not get stuck after taking the tires down to 20 pounds. I was able to use the electrical outlets to power an air compressor to deal with tire fill-ups. We carry an air fryer and a fridge/freezer for picnics at charging stations. The off-road app offers a lot of data when in off-road situations. The tonneau cover is pretty impressive for storing a lot of luggage during road trips although we did have to throw a tarp over the top for waterproofing during the rain.

We used FSD probably 75% of the trip, but it did have some significant problems, including driving into the wrong lane, turning into sections of the road that were not turn lanes, and making unsafe decisions during mountainous pass freeway situations. That said FSD made the trip less stressful, and seem a lot shorter.

This sounds very wrong. You should not need to do that. I could carry blocks of sugar in the back of mine through a hurricane and they would remain dry and unmelted. Something is wrong if yours is not "virtually" waterproof as is without needing supplemental help from a tarp.
