How to get all 10 of your Tesla referrals and $2500 in credits, automatically

Getting just 1 Tesla Referral is difficult enough. For most of us (unless you're an influencer), 10 seems impossible..!

As Tesla Cybertruck owners ourselves, we know the feeling... So we set out on a mission to figure how to get our Tesla referral link consumed. We wanted those Tesla credits as reward. And finally, we solved it!

Now, we've made the tool available for anyone to get all 10 referrals, automatically.

The process is simple and only takes a few steps. Here's how it works:

1. Go to theteslaref.com and sign up. We only need your email, Tesla referral link, and payment method
2. Sit back and relax. We take care of finding buyers who will use your referral link.
3. And boom! Referrals start rolling in. You'll receive the usual emails from Tesla as well as from us as we detect each one. Your card is only charged after each referral is made.

Then in the following days or weeks, your Tesla wallet starts filling up with those credits as rewards. Credits land in your Tesla wallet as each customer takes delivery.

Right now, Tesla is offering $250 in credits per referral, with up to 10 referrals per account. That means you could earn $2500 in total Tesla credits. Our cost is $125 per referral, so you can net up to $1250 in profit without doing anything. Let's face it, you probably won't get those referrals and credits on your own, if you're like us...

Of course, Tesla credits are subject to the Tesla program. Right now, you can use those credits towards:

• Supercharging
• Most Tesla store items (exceptions of Tesla Solar Products and gift cards)
• Tesla Service: Pay your bill with credits
• Tesla New Vehicle Purchase: Use your credits towards payment

With our program, it's like getting a 50% discount on those products or services.

A couple other things to keep in mind based on frequent questions:

• Tesla requires credits to be used within 12 months from the time they're granted.
• Sometimes, a buyer may use your referral link but later cancel their Tesla purchase. We automatically detect when that happens, and we'll backfill the referral for you. If we're not able to do that, we'll refund your card.
• It's up to the final customer when they take delivery, so it can be a few days or several weeks or months before the credits land in your wallet. If it takes longer than 3 months, we'll refund our fee for that referral.
• We process referrals in order of signup, so sign up sooner than later to get to the front of the line!
• The program is subject to change by Tesla any time.

Tesla can end the program at any time, so get your referrals going before it's too late. Last year (2024), they reset everyone's referral balance back to 0 during Fall, and owners could get ANOTHER 10 referrals before the end of the year. Some folks got up to 20 referrals under the program's terms. Amazing! We hope they do it again this year.

Curious how it looks in the app? Go to the Menu > Refer and Earn screen, and your referrals will appear in the History tab as shown here:

I thought this was a scheme at first but decided to use a seldom-used credit card. I received all $2,500 in Tesla credits fairly quickly. So for $1,250 spent I now have twice that in Tesla credits. I helped a friend out for some items he needed/wanted and it’s paying for my college kid’s Supercharging. And I’ll probably keep some in reserve for those times when I don’t know if the Service Center is flipping that coin for charging me for what should be warranty items.

Just know the credits expire in 12 months. Before expiration I’ll get some comfortable T-shirts or accessories….

That's right, as noted in our original post above, credits must be used within 12 months of them being granted. This can all be tracked from the Tesla app's referral history screen.

It sounds like you've put them to good use! Check back with us again in case Tesla resets the referral balance towards the end of this year, as they did last year. We might be able to load up even more credits for you then!

I thought this was a scheme at first but decided to use a seldom-used credit card. I received all $2,500 in Tesla credits fairly quickly. So for $1,250 spent I now have twice that in Tesla credits. I helped a friend out for some items he needed/wanted and it’s paying for my college kid’s Supercharging. And I’ll probably keep some in reserve for those times when I don’t know if the Service Center is flipping that coin for charging me for what should be warranty items.

Just know the credits expire in 12 months. Before expiration I’ll get some comfortable T-shirts or accessories….

That’s the real problem: if Tesla suspects a rule violation, they can and will cancel all your credits that you’ve already paid $1250 for, with no refunds.

It’s worked out for some, but you’re rolling the dice. If you’re gonna do this, use the credits immediately.

Obviously not. They’ll ban people exercising free speech but won’t ban people doing things that are blatantly wrong.

The referral program is subject to Tesla's terms of service, of course. But in prior years, your limit resets back to 10. So yes, starting January 1st, you could get another 10!

We will ask our customers to opt in again whenever Tesla resets the balance.

Keep in mind, the credits themselves expire after a year from the moment they're earned.

In fact, last year, Tesla reset balances in the Fall, allowing to earn a total of 20 in the calendar year 2024. We hope they'll do the same this year!
