There are no chargers, plugs, or hookups out there. No water. No services. No fires allowed. Requires advance backcountry permits. My kind of place.

I have only been once so I don’t know all the specifics, but they were letting people get within a hundred or two feet of the rocket up until around six hours before launch time. Hard to say exactly because the rocket is huge. We watched the launch from the southern tip of South Padre Island which is over 4 miles away. You can get closer , but I don’t know how much.

Yes it is an awesome place. Nearest supercharger is about 20 miles away in Brownsville more or less

All true, but the Supercharger stations in St. George, UT can get you there and back, even if you take the high-clearance vehicle trail to the Toroweap Overlook.

The road to and through Starbase (new name for Boca Chica) is a state highway (hw4) and the only road to the beach. It is always open unless SpaceX has a special event. So you can always watch what is happening there very close,up. On launch days, or specific test days, the road gets closed, between 6 and 8 hours before the event.
I was watching from a site at Richardson avenue, which is 3.6miles from the launch tower, just outside the safety perimeter. very clear non obstructed view of the towers. You have to be in there before the road closures start.
I only turned around at the sandy beach, up there were others with Cybertrucks who “played” on the sand. Was fun to see.
