Got this little carbon fiber piece from @RPM TESLA during the Labor Day sale. It came today. Fast shipping. Looks cool but no instructions and no video like they usually do. I don’t think it will slide down the length of the wiper without something getting damaged so assuming I have to take the wiper arm off.
Anyone installed one? Is this the way and can you share any tips on the wiper arm if it is?

Hi Ace,

Thank you for the order, but the box has our installation QR code label on it.
Below the box photos are two demo and installation videos.

Gosh. sorry. Totally missed that QR code. Guess I opened the box form the wrong side.
thanks for the very quick response. Didn’t necessarily want to call and ask, “how do you put this sticker on?”
I figured it was simple enough it didn’t require explanation.and felt like a bit of a bonehead for not immediately knowing what to do with it.

Cool add on. I see that they have an additional pice to cover the spot if you remove the wiper entirely. I wouldn't think it would be legal, nor safe, to not have a windshield wiper, but maybe it's a state to state rule.

Yeah. Beware. I messed up my wiper doing this. Have a service appointment tomorrow to get it fixed. Nobodies fault but my own but the repair estimate is $271. Just to be crystal clear, so as not to be misinterpreted again, I have been an RPM customer for many years and have no complaints. They are great to do business with and included everything I needed. I just didn’t notice the QR code which is especially dumb because every other piece of carbon fiber I ordered from them came with instructions.
If you get this accessory , watch the videos very closely. Reinstallation is NOT the “reverse of removal” as one of the videos says.
Legalities aside, I don’t know why you would ever want to drive around without a wiper even somewhere where it hardly ever rains like Phoenix.
The video mentions something about car shows, but I can’t imagine even if I was into car shows that I’d want to go to the trouble of removing the wiper to have a carbon fiber testicle sticking out do the bottom left of the windshield. To each their own I guess.
Maybe @RPM TESLA can shed some light on who they sell majority of those to.

It doesn’t look like it’s the wiper removal kit. It doesn’t have the cap. It just accents the area with carbon fiber and wiper stays.

They have a cap part as well. I got the motor cover part without the cap as pictured above.

I think they are the only sellers I have seen with this particular accessory and they a really are a pleasure to do business with.

I have the same. I installed it awhile back.
I also got an ABS Carbon Fiber look for the wiper arm. Looks really good with the motor cover and wiper arm in Carbon fiber. I also ceramic coated both items before I installed them.

Here in Southern California it hasn't rained in about 9 months, so we love the clean look of the wiper removed. We keep the wiper in the truck bed either a 19mm ratchet & socket incase !!!

That is fair.
It looks like the cap piece clicks into place. How do you remove it? Are there tabs to press down, does it screw off, do you squeeze the sides to unlatch the clips?
I would think including in your video instructions and a demonstration on how to remove the cap piece would be a good idea.

I'm liking this look. Living in NWFL, it rains way too much to not have the wiper, so the whole thing looking like this is a nice touch.

Where did you get that from? RPM Tesla as well?
