Last year there was an awesome video going around of someone who did this but by the time I saw it, it was too late and the animatronic Cerberus were all sold out SO this time I figured Iโ€™d get quick to the game and help anyone who also wanted to do the same with a parts list! The fog machine comes with two controllers. One that will push fog when the animatronic's IR goes off and one that's a wireless remote. Given that this is in the back of the truck, I opted for the remote so the heads can go off but no fog unless parked, etc.
ALSO - I'm recommending the cheaper 400w fog machine because I think it's just better for the context of this. The 1000w fog machine pours fog out like crazy but is a little OP IMO. The 400w fog machine kinda sputters a bit which I think is better for this.

You can get this stuff at a Spirit Halloween store but I've got a convenient Amazon Associates list for everything if that helps:

Fog Machine - https://amzn.to/46PtWrd
Fog Juice - https://amzn.to/429dHm9

Very Cool! Is this a static setup (meaning can't drive with it?) if not, how did you secure these so they don't flop around?

Thanks! It's 100% something I can drive around with. This is perhaps the most temporary way of doing this without having to build a mount but it works!

I'm using concrete pavers I had lying around to elevate it so it's up a little higher over the tailgate and then rope ratchets ( https://amzn.to/4nI4ae7 ) over the top of the feet and behind the keystones so they don't move. Then another keystone at the back with a rope ratched strapping down the rear.

Thatโ€™s crazy cool. I foresee a couple hundred more bucks vanishing from account soon. I have problems.
Imagine last year when it was something like Oct 25th - seeing this video and everything either sold out or would arrive after Halloween lol do it now and no regrets! Drove around last night and had lots of thumbs up which was nice!

Super awesome! I did the fog machine last year and regretted it tho! After using it a few times I realized that the fog had left a sticky residue all over my CT both inside and outโ€ฆ..but I also had a massive fog machine and used it quite a bit!

OOo good point! I'll have to keep an eye out - so far, so good and perhaps another win for the crappy little 400-watter machine. Can't wait to use it closer to Halloween

I'm going to also make this happen in my CT this year.
Luckily I already own 2 on your list.
Take a look at this 240 power strip another poster wrote about.

Wow that looks awesome! Great write up and thanks for putting all the Amazon links. Definitely need to consider this for my beast.

Would be super slick to build a little lift that could raise and lower the heads. That way you could have the tonneau closed and then remotely open the cover and have the heads lift out spewing the fog.

I missed out last time and wanted to be early to the game this year.
The mount sounds awesome and I was very close to something like that. I was sitting on the ground in the garage with a bunch of metal, unistrut, some threaded rod and a welder and was about to go crazy with a mount. It was my Dad who came over with keystones and was like "here - don't complicate it" -I don't think I'd take her on the interstate or anything but it's worked locally and it's worked great!

The Cerberus is no longer available. Anyone have an alternative link?

I bought an installed mine last year, but I was just in the spirit Halloween store in Miami and if they do not have it in your local store, they will be getting it in soon. Itโ€™s a common stock item. I also got the bulldog in the box which is called a jump scare That one will make you pee in your pants.
