How do you wash your Cybertruck?

I'm keeping it "raw" steel. Cybersudz car wash and shine as needed, dry with Chemical Guys MIC529 Ultimate Super Plush Drying Towel.

Citrusurf 77 monthly or as needed...do be careful to rinse thoroughly especially at mirror mount points and tail light bar.

Cerakote Rapid Ceramic Tire Coat on tires...no sling residue.

With Citrisurf, do you have to be careful about getting it on the plastic? Or do you let it touch the plastic but make sure to rinse it thoroughly?

I'm 2 weeks in with our new AWD CT. Absolutely love it and just assumed I can take this durable stainless steel body through the car wash, but when I search it, I see allot about NOT using a car wash. What do you do, what products do you use, any noteworthy experiences washing this machine?

I have had mine for 4 months and finally decided to give it a wash. I am amazed at how well the stainless hides the dirt compared to my Raptor that I washed every week. I ended up taking a DeWalt battery operated pressure washer and blasted of the dried on bugs. Spent about 5 min total. I let it mostly dry in the sun and wiped some of the big water spots with a clean rag. Cleaned the windows with a squeegee.

We have 3 coats of Everbrite Protectaclear on ours so it’s simple water and neutral ph soap.

*Pro-Tip - Use a telescoping pole with a Squeegee adapter to dry the truck! The water just falls off and is so much easier than using a dozen microfiber towels. lol

I have been using CitriSurf 77 on my FS for about 6 months and have not used any plastic protection with no harm to the plastic. But yes, do complete a heavy rinse especially in crevices.

Raw steel. Car wash 1-2 a week for over a year. No issues.

I'm not going to worry about this. If my cheap stainless steel grill hasn't rusted (no cover) in Chicago in maybe 10 years, I'm not fussing about my truck either. Stainless steel doesn't rust easily.

If I may add to that pro tip….leaf blower.

Leaf blower (electric) and a water deionizer, no water spots.
For wrapped trucks like mine, Walmart sells a telescoping microfiber car wash brush that reaches about four feet and that works good. This week in South Florida it’s rained every day very heavy. So the road grime and mud cover the entire sides and the back. What happens when the sun comes out and it’s in the 90s this stuff gets cooked onto the wrap. Before I wrapped my truck, I would use any good car soap with the microfiber brush and just use the water deionizer and then if I was feeling energetic, use the leaf blower.

Mine is wrapped in PPF and ceramic coated. I get a lot of dust where I live, so I wash once a week. I do a full wash one week and a quick detail every other week.

On full wash day, I use Meguiar’s Non-acid wheel cleaner for the tires and wheels, Mr. pink or Meguiar’s Hyperwash on a foam cannon for the wash. I use the 1500 microfiber towel from the Rag Company to dry while using Griots Garage Ceramic Speed Shine Detail Sprayer as a drying agent. Finally, I use Chemical Guys Streak Free Glass and Window Cleaner for windows. If I’m up for it, I’ll dress the tires and outside trim with Chemical Guys VRP.

On quick detail days, I’ll use ONR Rinseless Wash. I’ll use it as a detail spray and buff off with a microfiber cloth. Again I’ll use Chemical Guys Streak Free Glass and Window cleaner for windows.

For interior I’ll vacuum then use Chemical Guys Trim Clean Oil and Wax Remover (because it’s what I have on hand) I tried using interior shine but saw that the interior didn’t really take up shine well, which is fine with me.
