I used a car wash once and was traumatized lol. I put the truck into car was mode with the expectation neutral was part of it. It took a minute to realize I had no idea how to put the truck into neutral and basically had to drive it through the sit still type. No issues with cleaning it or damage though. What did I do wrong @CyberGus?
In short, you didn't practice it. You need to read up on how to do it, since most people do it so seldom.
Even if you engage Neutral, lots of things will turn it back off.

Neutral
Neutral allows Cybertruck to roll freely when you are not pressing the brake pedal. To shift into Neutral, do any of the following:
  • Open Controls, then press and hold the Neutral icon on the drive mode strip until Cybertruck engages Neutral.
  • Choose Neutral from the drive mode selector on the overhead console.
Note
You must press the brake pedal to shift out of Neutral if Cybertruck is moving slower than approximately 5 mph (8 km/h).
Cybertruck automatically shifts into Park when you open the driver's door to exit the vehicle unless the vehicle is in certain modes such as Transport or Car Wash Mode which allows the vehicle to stay in Neutral even when you leave.

I find it odd that Car Wash Mode disables Sentry. I realize there is little of value to record, but in the event of a mishap, the video could prove invaluable.
Sure big rollers hitting the vehicle wouldn't be a problem, nor would loud sirens going down the car wash line.

I thought it was pretty obvious I didn’t practice hence asking Cybergus for help. I appreciate your input.

I used a stationary spinning brush wash once. The rinse left water spots all over. I am not sure if it was the water used or the hot sun that caused it. I will try the "world's longest carwash" at Buc Ees soon and I will report the results.
That would mean they're leaving spots on every vehicle. Almost all the washes around here include blowers and fluffers to catch the drips before they dry.

Yeah, making one Sentry instance for the wash wouldn't take alot of power.

Yes, you can just touch the top column for N if you are in the vehicle and it will free roll. I didn't find it hard to do...

I get a car wash every week on a conveyer style with spinning washing elements.

0 issues.

Just do car wash mode and enable free roll.
How much drying do you have to do afterwards? I know water gets trapped in some crevices (side view mirrors, trim, etc.) and will leave water streaks if not dried completely. Do you wipe fingerprints off before or after going through?

The location I go to will hand dry it for no additional cost. They’ll spend 2 minutes going over the truck. I don’t find any streaking from runoff.

My experience with manual car washes with spray wands and foaming brushes are that the fingerprints just disappear.

From what I've seen, there's a oil type coating on the Stainless that may have been added when they were first rolling it. That's what the primary cause of the fingerprints are. Once that has been removed, especially with soap and warm water, fingerprints become a much smaller issue.

I live in California and have a Quick Quack membership. I lowered it to the basic wash so it doesn’t add any of the sealants or waxes. In addition, I don’t get the tire shine option with it because if you do, when you drive off, it will sling on the side of the truck because the tires stick out slightly. Then you have a mess on your hands. It cleans the truck really well. It is a conveyor belt system with spinning bushes.

But I will say this, I think I have noticed some fine scratches in the stainless steel near the APEX of the truck and on top of the hood.

At the right lighting angle it can be seen. I love the ability to have the car washed in 90 seconds, but I need to monitor the scratches. I purchased RUBBIT “waterless” 20 minute start to finish wash system, but I haven’t used it yet (https://getrubbit.com/).

We have Quick Quack car washes all over California, so it is nice to be able to pull in and be out in 90 seconds with a clean car. For example, I had to go to an event yesterday in Sacramento at the California Highway Patrol Academy and I know they wanted to see the Cybertruck. I live in the SF Bay Area which is 90 minutes away and the truck was not clean. So before my 9:30 am meeting, I was able to pull into the Quick Quack Car Wash which is less than a mile away and come out with a clean truck. All for $21.99 per month.

You don't need Sentry, you need dashcam. And the dashcam will operate as usual. Check out my thread about quick quack giving me a flat tire (TLDR: a car ahead of me broke their system which punctured my side wall. QQ reimbursed me with no issues)

Like Carlos above me, I take mine through Quick Quack a few times a week. It does a surprisingly good job. I just grab one of their rags and walk around the truck picking up extra water on the bumpers, that's it. I've also noticed some really small scratches that can only be seen in certain light. I decided I'm going to invest in some professional washing/detailing equipment and wash it myself. I kind of find it satisfying and therapeutic lol
