Hello all! Just got my VIN today for awd varient.

I originally setup 3rd party financing with a bank I use. But it took over two weeks to get my title when I sold my model s and almost cost me the sale (impatient buyer).

Curious how I can check out Tesla financing rates? I'm in TX so they are there. But I've already selected 3rd party finance and don't see a way to change it in the app.

Info for those that want it

Just apply and see what you get. Tesla shops the loan around, so no telling what you get.

I think that you can just delete your existing financing and start over.

Not sure how things work in TX, but typically you get a lein release letter from a bank to include when selling a vehicle. This way you do not need to send for a clear title before selling a vehicle.

For Tesla financing, you just need to apply to see what rate you get.. Third party financing through a good bank/credit union will typically net you a 1-2% better rate than though Tesla financing.

That's the issue, it took over two weeks just to get a lien release....I was able to get title the same day I got the release. But I couldn't get that document any sooner. I've had over a dozen cars and while most were cash, I've never had that issue before -_-*

Yeah Tesla definitely just lost even a chance at my business with that, I've tried their support # five times and never got to a menu that would get me to financing. The only human I could get was my local service center and they literally just gave me the same support #.....lol

ahh, gotcha. Wow that stinks, lol. My local bank takes 1 business day.

Yep, they are very.... automated, in the financing side of things. :)

Yeah I was pretty pissed, and they "can't speed it up" as the process is "automated".
Confused how an automated process takes over 2 weeks lol

My last loan was paid off and lien released within 1-2 business days last time (different bank though). Unfortunately, they lost any future business in regards to autoloans for me :/
