I’m trying to carry cupboard of size (
39" x 20" x 78.25") in the trunk. I know with the tail gate closed I can’t so what options do I have? Ideas?

You can easily use the D-rings in the bed and side walls with ratchet straps to hold the furniture in place. Or attach ratchets to the L-track.

I had a circumstance where I needed my tailgate lights at night(one of my negatives of the truck)while I had 7’x4’x22” locker in the bed. Propped it on the tailgate with rubber mat for protection. Ratchet straps to secure from d-ring and L-track. Use D-ring by cab to keep from sliding away, d-ring by tailgate around the center of your load to prevent lifting. No damage to tailgate nor any scratches, freeway speed.

used 4 ratchet straps

Sell your truck. Its a truck bed by the way. If you don't know how to use the tool why keep it? Pay someone to do the job the right way. Sounds like you could get people killed man. 🤣

Umm, a light bar yes is on the tail gate but not primary source of parking lights, brake lights and blinkers.....either side of tailgate is where those are so that being said....with tailgate down, you have lights.

Yes, I am well aware. I own a CT. The question is is there enough. My answer, with the tailgate down, is no.
