Learn more about the Evotrex-PG5

Towing with an electric truck creates an interesting paradox. Electric vehicles have become incredibly advanced — high horsepower, instant torque, connected, and massive battery capacity — yet once an RV trailer is attached, the experience is still dominated by familiar constraints: greatly reduced range, charging limitations, and the burden of energy planning.

That mismatch is exactly what led to the creation of Evotrex.

Welcome to Evotrex

We're reimaginging the outdoor lifestyle—intelligent, enjoyable, and without compromise. While mobility technology has evolved, off-grid living remains tethered to fragile infrastructure and power limitations. We're breaking that cycle by rethinking the relationship between technology and the wild. We deliver pioneering technology that takes you beyond electric. We enable true freedom.

Evotrex-PG5
Unlike traditional travel trailers that drain your range with drag and dead weight, the Evotrex-PG5 is an adventure powerhouse: the world's first power-generating RV. Equipped with an onboard EV battery and electric motor, the PG5 provides active torque assist while you tow. The integrated, automotive-grade generator replenishes the battery and delivers usable power on demand. The result? You can camp completely independent of campsite infrastructure for days, experiencing true freedom on your own terms with all the comforts of home.

Adventure powerhouse: up to 270 kWh of usable energy on a cycle.
  • Horizon™—onboard power generator (up to 225 kWh with 20 gal. of regular gasoline)
  • 43 kWh LFP battery pack
  • 1.5 kW integrated solar array over the rooftop
With that foundation, the PG5 supports capabilities including:
  • Active Power Assist when towing (torque assist)
  • RangeBoost™ V2V DC charging at up to 60 kW (via NACS port)
  • Home energy backup (up to 12 kW)
  • Air suspension & automotive-grade steel chassis

Camping at its best:
  • Fully-insulated shell and walls; zero-wood construction
  • Two residential queen beds
  • Basement-mounted HVAC system for optimal climate control
  • Full dry bath with instant hot water
  • Portable projector with wireless speakers
  • Chef's kitchen with two induction burners, a fridge w/ freezer, a range hood, and a generous working space
  • Utility bar: foldable camp table with water & power ports
  • Terrece™: motorized roofed patio extension (43 sqft)

Where to see the PG5
The Evotrex team will be attending major EV, RV, and adventure-focused events throughout the year. These events are where we spend most of our time engaging directly with owners, answering technical questions, and gathering feedback.
Check out our event calendar and come see the PG5 in person!

Towing with electric trucks raises interesting engineering questions around energy, efficiency, and vehicle-trailer interaction. The PG5 is our attempt at exploring a different design approach. We strongly believe platforms like the PG5 benefit from open dialogue with technically curious owners.
We welcome technical questions, thoughtful suggestions, and discussions. If you’d like to interact directly with our team and early supporters:

@evotrex make it in black and I'm sold.
not a huge fan of the green on lime green or interior for that matter.

wasn't too happy with the portable projector over mounted tv either.
but everything else is sick, especially the patio / backdoor combo!

what are the specs on that generator in the front btw?

The generator is rated 75 kW. It automatically turns on while towing to replenishes your pack so you always arrive with a full pack. It can also be used when parked to recharge at up to 20 kW.

I'll take just the horizon generator please lol
Bonus points for one that fits flush in the front of the CT bed.

I joke, but there's a real market there.
I'm unaware of any DC fast charging gas generators that "small".
The extra large gas tank on it is a bonus.

You could change the shell and have the real successor to the CT Range Extender overnight.

Hope they are successful and come out with some other floorplans.
Maybe loose the patio and add a slide?

The base model is $120K, so your own portable supercharger, that you can live in, and tow around :)
It does have a 20 gallon gas tank, that the generator runs on, that can generate 225KWH of power, or enough to charge the Cybertruck twice. So how much does 20 gallons of gas cost, near you? If its $4, then it costs $80 to fill the tank, or about $40 to charge the Cybertruck from empty to full (twice) but we never charge to full, or go all the way to empty of course. It also uses the generator to charge the 43KWH battery when you are towing it, to keep it topped off as well... that greatly assists with towing, and reduces the range hit a LOT

Yep. It’s astonishing. If I could afford to throw that kind of change at camping equipment, I absolutely would. I think it’s a beautiful piece of engineering without even having seen one.
If the durability and livability are even passable it’s a worthwhile purchase.
That said, the consensus calculus in my family which includes my opinion is that $150k are better spent on other stuff than camping gear.
Just being honest.
Now, would I rent one of these if you made that an option @evotrex , fuck yeah.
