The DIY definitely takes some patience, but the flat panels really make it possible. I’m early 40’s and in pretty good shape, put I’ll say it’s definitely a younger man’s type of work. My back and knees and joints were all talking to me pretty good after 3 straight days of it.

I am curious how the gloss black does with micro scratches. In 3-5 years, I could definitely consider it. I’ve never had a black car myself. Are you noticing any yet?

Good for you man. Wouldn’t be my stamina it would be carving out the time with my 3 kids keeping me from it! I do love a good DIY project though.

Zero scratches so far, and the Stek PPF is self healing so scratches are supposed to disappear with heat.

mine is gloss black at the moment too... they are adding the reflective strips on today to turn it "tron"

Stek Piano gloss black PPF wrap and ceramic coating. 50% windshield tint and 35% driver and passenger, all Xpel Ceramic IR. Couldn’t be happier with how this turned out. Truck looks like a mirror… Also had the tonneau and bed trim ceramic coated to help protect it. All done by Steve Aguilar and his team at Modern Auto Design in Walnut Creek. HIGHLY recommend if you are in the eastbay.

Looks like a million bucks.

+1 for gloss black here. This is Flexishield USA gloss black PPF. I added white emblems since the PPF covered the embossed ones. Also added center wheel caps and lug nut covers from TSportLine.

I didn’t tint the roof. Seems tinted already to me… but maybe worth it

Left the roof and front windshield alone (for now). Now that we're coming in the hot and humid South Florida summer, I may have to revisit decision.

I was in the same place. Very hard to choose, but I am happy I went with the gloss black. I just feel it looks more OEM and like paint. To me, the satin looks like a wrap. But I did struggle with the decision.

Does the new stickers adhere ok?
I heard there may be issues when you do ceramic coating and then try to apply a sticker over it.
may easily get removed with any decent water pressure. Any feedback?
