So..nobody likes the hard questions but do you have a target price range for this thing?
It’s definitely a relevant part of this decision process for a lot of people.
Total will for sure be under 6 grand!

So if you install this, you DON’T need the panels that come with the full length tent version of the rack? The tent itself is the roof?
The full length kit includes these panels but the other kit does not right?
Sorry for the dumb question, it’s just, those are steel panels that I also understand from @Ozark Cyber ’s posts are supposed to be sealed together in a waterproof fashion. If I’m understanding him correctly.
I’m not getting how that and the pass through parts work together.

Yes you don't need the steel roof panels for the full lenght tent. I originally bought the version of the rack without the roof panels. When the tent was not ready for my April trip to Utah I went ahead and purchased the panels and installed them separately so as to have a dust and waterproof bedcap. Unfortunately the roof panels did not keep it waterproof as we found at 3 in the morning during a rainstorm in Arches Park. Also the back hatch leaked. Hopefully the full lenght tent solves those problems.

The roof panels where still useful to secure the cargo. Another problem was there was no way to shut and fasten the rear hatch from the inside. I went to a hardware store in green river utah and bought some handles and installed them to pull the hatch closed from the inside and bungee cords to hold it closed, when sleeping in the back of the bed.

I'm sure they will fixes these issues, and to be clear I really like the bedcap overall.

We’ll have a new rear window with a slam latch coming very soon, so you can shut it to lock like the tailgate and unlatch it from the inside!

Glad to hear it, that will be a big improvement. Makes it hard on all of us who have already bought the original. I expected it to come with inside closure capabilities.

We have a temporary fix for that, and we can ship you a new one with slam latches in June.

Also saw another clever setup from a Cybertruck owner.
