This is fine but I dont use it on my MY so doubt much interest in CT. It's too slow, requires too much monitoring, and isn't super useful. When it is more autonomous and you can summon and forget and the car is waiting or banish it will be worth messing with. Right now...it's usually faster to walk to the car.

This is what I am waiting for. Tried summon once on the MY and was biting my nails right up until it almost hit a tow truck load a car in the middle of an empty parking lot. When I can hit the button and just have it come to me, then it is real. I imagine when they are confident and willing to take liability if it messes up, then they'll do it.

ASS is still a party trick. It works sometimes and that's cool, but there are too many accidents on it and it also just fails sometimes and then you have to run to your vehicle.

I've used it in my Y when the parking space is tight and I have my family with me.

Soon I can do it in my truck. Cool.

During tire replacement last week I was told the employees already have it for testing, so it’s close to release.

For those not seeing the value, try it during a rain storm to come up to a storefront. Yes it’s slow, but still WAY better than walking out to it. Works just fine on my M3P with HW3, so I assume it will be even better on my CB.

Tesla does not accept liability for damage caused by summon. There is a disclaimer.

Agreed, while I don't love the carrot dangling I see it as the cost of doing business.
What is problematic is when the carrot gets dangled then never given to this poor donkey.

This is a feature I've been waiting for for a long time but not for parking lot use. So I can watch the clearance as I creep over obstacles. Not for rock crawling, I am often driving across farm roads and fields to do spot welding fixes here and there. I often have to straddle an irrigation port. Not worried about it damaging my truck but the opposite. If I break that port it creates a huge mess with flooding and I have to get the irrigation district involved to cut the flow to repair. It would be a big mess so I end up going in and out of my truck a half dozen times just to make sure I am clearing it. Would prefer dumb summon but I'll take ASS over nothing any day.

Have you tried the latest MY HW4 version? It’s twice as fast.

I have, but during a rain storm it lost signal and I had to run out and get my M3 from the middle of the parking lot.

I've used it successfully before, but after the amount of cars, curbs, and poles hit on TMC, I only use it if there are no cars parked directly beside mine, it's good weather, and relatively clear parking lot.

It's great to see them making progress. Like most here, I probably won't use it until I can just push a button and trust that it's going to safely navigate it's way to my location, or banish it to a parking space. I'm really looking forward to someday being able to have my truck drop me off at the airport and then drive itself home and park in my garage. I think it will get there in time. This technology isn't maturing as quickly as any of us would like (Tesla included), but it's not like they are following some blueprint for something that has been done before. What they are doing is truly amazing.
