Aight, the Tesla engineer stated why this happen.

If you repeatedly try to close the frunk (which this was his third attempt) it will assume a bag is in the way and you REALLY want to close the frunk. So on the first try? It works as intended. On the 2nd try? It will close a little harder. And the third try? It will close almost regardless it seems. Once there is a successful close it will reset this.

He does a follow up video after the Twitter comment, and shows that's how it works.

Not to be negative but... Do people conduct these tests when you buy any other car brand? I don't see too many PSA's highlighting that if you close your finger in a Mercedes door it isn't going to feel good. No testing required. This seems like idiotic content people are making that states what should be obvious... keep your hand clear from closing doors, frunks, etc.
