Just curious if there is an overall general trend toward wrapping. I sense there is, but it may be biased by people who wrap (or are going to wrap) telling us about it; whereas people who don’t just don’t feel a need to say they’re not wrapping.

My guess is more wraps than not, but I may be wrong. Thoughts?

I apologize in advance if this has already been polled. I couldn’t find it if it has.

I would expect less wraps, just because it's less expensive.
Good point. We’re leaning that way because of the iconic look of the stainless. And because I wonder if a wrap would hold up to things like a shopping cart banging into it, or more aggressive door dings. But have no real exposure to wraps in the past so don’t really know.

Yes, the stainless can be scratched. But from what I’m seeing it’s not too hard to get the scratches out with a sander setup of some kind; am I wrong?

Though I will admit I’ve seen a bunch of very cool looking wraps. To the point of making it hard to decide.

But as of the moment, leaning toward no wrap.

Edit: Okay, was just exposed to other threads on this highly discussed topic. So I see many of my questions have been addressed previously. But am curious how it breaks down in numbers.

Yeah, lots of other threads, but well written polls are so rare! ^-^

Nope, as I will be driving off road. Lots of opportunities to shred a wrap with vegetation dragging on the body panels aka trail pinstripes.

That said, I like the 'dancing man' camo, satin black, blue, green, and dark red wraps. Guess I need to buy a fleet and rent on Turo.

?
Okay, I could have worded it better. And yeah, maybe a bunch of polls exist. Just looking for a little information and this is getting it for me. Thanks for responding to the poll because it’s helping me sort things out.

So far, in this small sample size, it looks like roughly 2-1 ratio for wrapping amongst those who’ve decided. But with a good chunk of undecided. Interesting.

My non-wrap.

First thought off as shield against annoying finger prints.

It worked!

HFS is revolutionary. I do not see the point of taking something that is almost completely unable to be damaged and wrap it in something that I have to be careful with and maintain.

To each his/her own. For those who want their CT to look different than every other one out there, more power to ya. I have to admit the wrapped ones LOOK great.

Nice! I’ve also wondered if this might be an alternatIve approach to take. Glad it’s working for you! Thanks. I’ll keep it in mind as a possibility, though I am leaning more and more to just keeping it all stainless. But may decide otherwise later and take this kind of approach if the fingerprints really bother me.

That’s why I’m leaning more to just keeping it unwrapped.
As you said, to each his/her own.

we have had our cyberbeast for two months, and really like how the stainless looks as well as how easy it is to maintain. When you have paint on a car, you have to be careful when you wash it even not to scratch anything. For this, I put Windex on a towel. Wipe it flip the towel over and finish wiping and it looks great. Barkeepers Friend YouTube I have seen, brings it back to a non-patina shiny bright stainless steel. I am really liking the ease of maintaining the exterior. much easier than a painted car. The stainless is so hard it doesn’t really scratch from cleaning. I was thinking I was going to wrap it satin but the more I spent time easily cleaning this I don’t think we will.

‘I kinda think they may bother me to a certain extent too. I’m just not sure to what extent. And it’s a very good reason for doing what you did. May be a good option for many. Including me if it bothers me too much. But I’m hoping I’ll be able to keep up with keeping them cleaned off (ha ha; says everyone getting a CyberTruck).

If you open the doors by pulling the rubber on the top back edge of the door, and close with your elbows or part of your arm vs oily fingers you will greatly minimize prints. Look at previous post for making stainless look really good. Windex on the steel is easy and fast. Much better than washing paint.
