I started working on this a while ago as an alternative to nut caps, but someone else beat me to it because I didn't have a truck to test on. After a few days playing around, here is my current missing wheel covers solution. Created in Tinkercad using a simple heptagon cone so the edge is tapered like the wheel. Still tweaking the attachment design (printing v0.7 test right now) but the look won't change much. Made on Prusa MK4 using generic 90 hardness black TPU, so it's flexible but not floppy. Not sure how it will hold up to UV, but easy to make another one. The small triangle pattern is from the build plate and the big 7 triangles are from concentric extrusion, both change with movement but the small ones are very subtle. The seam line visible in the middle of one big triangle has been removed in latest version. I also tried silver TPU for the contrast look, matches the HFS pretty well, but a bit too "Raiders" for me, going to stick with black.

Looks cool. Are you going to share the file?
Yes, pending current test and whether I need to reprint again. Trying to get rid of all wobble in attachment, expanded the lip on the clip a little more, fingers crossed.

@countryboy, any updates? how did the testing go?

@Bkb13 have you tried modifying how well your mechanism for attachment works for your design and expanding it out to the shape of this one?

Probably easy to do. Might get around to it if someone else doesn’t.

update- testing did what it should, identified root cause of the wobble. Lost one on the road. I like the TPU finish but it sucks for the connector. I tried solving this with a PETG connector, but the materials don’t stick together that great, and two of my testers ripped apart when I took them off. I have a few ideas to solve both problems but need time to draw print and test, time wont allow at the moment. I probably should have waiting until it was working to share, just got excited when I saw that pattern a concentric first layer creates. Hopefully time to play this weekend…

Finally had some time to play with this over the weekend. As of today, all four of my wheels are finally matching! I gave up on the triangle pattern and went to textured plate. Might still make minor tweaks as I print more for friends but finally happy enough with the results to share... Cybertruck Wheel Hub Cover

I have the same problem, cleared a shelf in the closet with just enough room. Only recently got one, had no idea how easy it would be to solve so many of life's problems. Just do it! :)

I printed one last night. Looks good. Probably one a night till done since they are long prints, even on my Bambu X1C.

Thank you for sharing.

Nice! What build plate and filament did you use? I used black also, but the texture makes it look almost identical to the wheel. Does yours look that way in person?
