I personally would wait for a VIN. Once you have it, they should give you a call, and tell you when you should pay by. I’m sure I could have held off a little, but having a delivery delay do to my own doing would have sucked.

Just got a text from Mo, who I think is at the Clarkston location. He said that a vehicle has been assigned and I need to complete insurance and pre-payment (proof of lease/loan application or submition of payment) prior to delivery into Michigan. Knowing the complexity of Michigan deliveries, it probably has something to do with our dealership laws. Since I'm paying cash, Iooks like I'll have to pre-pay the entire amount. For Michigan, does proof of insurance mean, insurance specific to the truck or proof of any auto insurance coverage?

You need specific proof of insurance. I estimated my policy start date to be (2) weeks after I received my VIN. As of right now, I have had an insurance policy for (5) days on a vehicle I do not have yet, lol. All part of the fun.

Thanks. I'm not seeing an actual VIN in the app, so I guess I'll need to obtain that before I can obtain the proof of insurance. Mo said specifically "A vehicle has been assigned.." so maybe the app and account takes time to update.

edit: I can see a VIN when I proceed in the "provide insurance" step.

They told me yesterday they are expecting the cars to arrive by the end of this week or early next week. They were still on the train to Chicago. I was a 5/1 VIN.

Ditto, Same here. Vin assigned 1 May. Told yesterday my CT on Train just outside Chicago as of Sunday. Waiting to schedule pickup in Grand Rapids. Hope soon than latter, the wait is killing me. I’m in Boyne city, anyone willing to give me a ride to GR with you when you pickup yours?

We are in Alpena. Have a delivery date scheduled for next week. We won't be doing any delivery shows or drive downs to GR for others.

We are pretty private, not sure I even want all the stares.

We completed all the steps, and paid on Friday.

I am being told I will be invited to schedule delivery appointment in Clarkston between 5/17 - 5/20.
