Well, the normal keying a Tesla would have been a waste of time against a Cybertruck so she had no other choice but to ram you. She probably watched too many World War II naval battle movies where the Allied ship or submarine runs out of ammunition but wins anyway by ramming the larger enemy vessel. Always works in the movie

Outstanding review. I've been on the list and just got my email last week, can't do any test drive so I'm doing homework before I commit. My apprehension was that I owned 2 Hummer H1s in the early 90s (before they were called H1's) and both were like boats for me (i.e., "2 happiest days..."), they always ran but always had some annoying issue that shouldn't have occurred; I needed 2 because one was always in the shop. So, I want to make sure I don't repeat the mistake. The only plus was that I hit a deer at 60 mph with one and the car was virtually unscathed...the deer didn't do quite so well.

I can accept some deficiencies that software updates can easily fix, but the discrepancies in the range and charging times are a little worrisome. This will be my first foray into an EV (only owned a hybrid before). I'm strongly leaning towards the Cyberbeast (what's another 20K after you cross 100K). Any other suggestions/observations/recommendations would be super helpful and appreciated.

And finally...would you buy it again?

In regard to the range, expect around 275-300 miles on a full charge but this is all dependent on the driving conditions and speeds. Charging times are longer than other Teslas due to it having a larger battery pack. The CT is capable of charging at 350kw speeds so once they unlock that and put more V4 superchargers the charge rates will greatly improve.

I agree if you can afford the beast go ahead and buy that one.

My suggestion to any new Tesla owner is be aware that Tesla is horrible at communicating with its service centers and customers, so do not expect many answers to questions you may have to come from Tesla themselves. Also expect any timeline that they give to be longer than what they originally stated. If not you will be disappointed and frustrated. These are the main reasons I started my channel and podcast. To give other Tesla enthusiasts a place to go to get unbiased information.

And for your last question, yes I would definitely buy the CyberTruck again. I love the truck and do not regret my purchase.

Ug, sure hope they do, and I sure hope it can be added to our early trucks. Could totally see it being a new 48v Homelink add-on, but only with some new harness that newer trucks have...

EVs typically don’t have much maintenance so you’ll be clear there. And Tesla is really good at fixing any issues as long as it’s under warranty. I wouldn’t be concerned with that aspect of ownership

FSD V12 or 13 will obviate all of your concerns regarding visibility. It can be a robo-taxi for you in any town. The fun of CTs is really driving / sporting adventures. I'm very glad, I'll order mine in 2025 or later, for those reasons. Good job ButterEV, enjoy it -lead on!!
