It has now been 6+ months since the Cybertruck started deliveries. Yet, no vendor provides a simple windshield sun shade. I am talking about a folding cardboard for like $15. There is like one that you have to (cringe) assemble two halves or some such but that seems silly. What gives?

They had these back in the 90s: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2856239553...uid=IZAiaZ0XTQq&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY.

Should I make one? I have never built and sold something out of China. Any interest? :)

Good alternative that’s not $175. That’s ridiculous for a sun screen. I think sometimes companies charge so much because their products because they might be the only ones available and it’s for people that can buy a $120k truck. I wouldn’t pay that much out of principle. All I need it to do is block the sunlight. If a $50 one can block the sunlight, I’ll buy it.

Heatshield is the way to go!
This looks like a giant pain in the ass. While I get the potential need for 2 pieces, I would think one for the driver side half and one for the passenger side half is much easier than a top and bottom with suction cup mounts. Seems like a hassle, so much that if I bought I would end up never using it cause I don’t want to deal with it.

Agreed $175 is price scalping us owners, in my opinion.

I have the Heatshield 2 piece one as well. Its a bit of work getting it installed and removed, especially if in a hurry, but works very well.

The umbrella style sunshade sold via Amazon just doesn't work for me. It was difficult to deploy and doesn't hold it's shape well. I'm returning it & may try the HeatShield since I've own many of their shades for my; R1T, R1S, Odyssey, MDX, Polestar-2, Model Y, Grand Cherokee 4xe, X3M Competition. Just don't leave the Suction cups activated over extended periods of time under the sun and heat, they will deform and loses their suction.
