I still love the original wheel cover appearance. It fits the futuristic vibe of the Cybertruck.
100% I'd get the originals and just cut the rubber pieces

U can definitely swap tires from wheel to wheel but the cyberwheel hubcaps won't match up with AS tires. If you were to also buy the AS hubcaps, those may or may not fit onto Cyberwheels
But matching hubcaps may not be an issue. Got to see what they come up with for the hubcap. And then what tires are available.

Interesting discussion. I recently took delivery with what I assume to be the AT wheels. My question is, where do people think you get the opportunity to choose? From what I’ve seen, Tesla is going to build your truck and you get to take it or leave it.

I think ppl are anticipating the non-foundation CT being available next quarter. And expect to be able to select options then.

It is on the CT configuration page. Pictured below are the options as they appear.

It looks to me like the AT and AS wheels and tires are the same size, the only difference size wise is the Wheel covers. Personally, I like the appearance of the AT wheel and cover better, but I prefer the AS tire for the slightly better range.

AS tires and wheel without cover.
Tesla Cybertruck . CT wheels AS

Tesla Cybertruck . CT as wheels

AT tires and wheel without cover.
Tesla Cybertruck . CT wheels AT
Tesla Cybertruck . CT at wheels

The core wheels scream "CyberDork', plus I bet the AT Cyber wheels will be a $4k-6k upgrade soon, so why downgrade when we are already paying extra?

Also I don't feel sorry for you if you are coal-rolled with the CyberDork wheels. You'd deserve it. lol

I personally do not like the wheel cover, I switched to core Wheels because I actually like the wheels better, there's more space between the spokes and I plan on getting my brake calipers painted so I think that'll show better. I may change my mind in a couple weeks and switch it back, who knows.

You have to scroll down past the Foundation Series package in the configurator.

If you're not invited to configure an order, you can't see the configurator.

But there's lots of us who have been invited but passed because we can't or won't afford the Foundation Series... So we can see these options.

I paid the 1k order deposit. They were messed up. I got an invoice for 108k. Then one for 101k. I just tried to find any choices. Zero.

I kinda like the core wheels better too, but I feel like your giving Tesla back a $4k-6k option and the AS tires look like they belong on a work van.

I partly agree with your point about giving away money. 1. I googled the price of the tires, the all-terrain tires are worth $500 each, the all-season tires are worth $300 each. So technically I'm giving away $800 just on the tires, We take a lot of family trips so that price difference is likely offset using them 2 years in terms of excess charging due to range loss with the all-terrain tires. 2. The wheels are worth more only because Tesla says they are worth more but they are the same size and similar quality, It really comes down to preference in my opinion.

I really don't think the all season tires look bad at all but to each his own, If two years later I find that I line all-terrain better and I'm okay wasting money on range loss then so be it, I'll switch.
