False Report of Speeding at the Beach w/ Cybertruck

Just landed mines yesterday and decided to take it off roading. We were driving 7-15 MPH max along the beach. An hour later, after park police came rolling in and said someone called that we were doing like 40MPH on the beach. Meanwhile, 80% of people are taking out their cameras, waving saying "hi" and we did the same...

Some people may just be jealous??!! It's just a truck! A cool one may I add.

Needless to say, nothing became of it. No proof of something that didn't happen.

Tomatoes are acidic, so the sauce probably passivated the areas it covered, making it a bit more shiny. A gentle scrub with Citrisurf/BKF/etc. would probably do the trick, but you'll need to treat the whole panel, if not the whole truck, to restore a uniform appearance.
Can't quite put my finger on it, but all this sauciness brings to mind the SKYHOOKS song from the '70s 'Women In Uniform'
Go figure!

I heard it doesn’t really matter about the size of the drive. Is that true? That the “recent” folder only goes back one hour?
True, but Sentry events are not overwritten, and consume space until deleted.

Additionally, solid-state drives suffer wear from write/erase cycles. Larger drives will experience fewer cycles and thus last longer.

Yeah great point about the wear on SSDs. Wonder what happens if Sentry events end up taking the entire drive space?

We keep a couple 128 GB drives in each ride along with the USC-C adapter to connect to our devices so if we need to review something and save it we can do that on the road. Figured that if the video is ever needed for the police we would just give them the $17 USB flash drive.

My recollection of users' observations is that Sentry events simply stop recording when space is exhausted.

I watch all my Sentry events and delete the uninteresting ones.

I don't spend a lot of time with the digital side of my Teslas, but I believe that was changed over a year or two ago, now sentry events are FIFO. New ones overwrite old ones.

I asked how they were cleaning it and they said “we’re figuring it out”.

The Loveland SC will be able to deliver Cybertrucks this month and will probably do our delivery. I’ll let everyone know what the fix was if they tell me.

The world would be a better place if people put this kind of energy into doing good things. I guess that’s no fun though.

I’ve been flipped off multiple times while driving. Funny it never happens when they are outside of their car.
