That is not [at least not universally] true. I use Dog Mode most every day and when I am going to be away from the truck for more than a few minutes I wait and watch the temperature drop until it is below 70 inside the cab before leaving. I have also configured the back seat vents to point to my dog crate. My puppy always seems happy enough, and I always (except once, as noted elsewhere) check the cabin temperature when I get back.
The article is that it's random and IMO, unlikely to be just with dog mode, but in 2024.14 and 2024.20 there have been reported instances that the AC stops working and a reset/car going to sleep is required to fix it. I heard, elsewhere, that 2024.20.3 fixes it.

Question: Once you enable dog mode, can you monitor the cabin's temperature via the app to ensure the A/C is working once you are in the store? I definitely want the piece of mind that my dogs are not overheating while I am away from the truck.
Yes. In the app it tells you the exterior temp and interior

I leave my kids in the car (both are old enough to get out), but I check on them with the cabin camera and make the car fart while I'm waiting in line... It's fun seeing them laugh from my app.

I haven't driven the truck since getting 2024.20.3. Maybe it is fixed then, which would be great.

Yes, the app shows the set temp, the internal temp, and the external temp. I just did an experiment turning on Dog Mode from my phone and you can see everything. Of course, you can also monitor your buds with the internal camera.

That's great to know. I don't have any biological children, so my two dogs are my babies. :) I know you can relate.
