Anyone’s 2024.20.6 S/W update taking too long?

Truck started automatically downloading 2024.20.6 more than an hour ago but still at 7%.

Anyone else’s taking long with downloading it? Should I reset the touchscreen?

Edit: my wifi connection is fine, multiple devices are connected and no other issues such as streaming.

Don’t stress, I’ve seen this happen on a couple Teslas. It will figure it out at some point. I have also seen it get around 50% complete and then stop there for a long time. Assume it is doing some kind of checksum on the software file because it stops using data while it sits there.

Define “long time”. I left it downloading overnight and I’m still sitting at 76% ?

Another thread from this morning, same complaint. It was resolved. Just stop trying to watch the pot boil.
And the update is just bug fixes.

I should also add that previous downloads on my truck and Model Y definitely did not have this long of a download.

Actually, it is.

If the vehicle doesn't have Wi-Fi connectivity, it will sit there, mine did last night.
Are you saying you don’t have wifi connection at all or that your vehicle is disconnecting in the middle of the night?

I need to reiterate that my wifi connection is fine and haven’t had issues downloading previous updates with the truck and Model Y while sitting in my garage.

If you go to the vehicle and look at the Wi-Fi and Software pages, is it showing connected?

You can always reboot, it should start where it was.

Yup, connected. The download is extremely slow, still at 87%, a +11% increase since ~4.5 hours ago.

Sounds as if may be a marginal connection. Garages aren't known for having the best Wi-Fi signals. And many garages are considered "external" which means that metalic backed insulation is making signal penetration even worse.

I know my garage can be problematic. I'll often take hotspot or phone out to speed it up.

Not sure about that as I’ve never had downloads take as long as this across the Teslas I have that’s sat in the garage while updating.

Either way, I’m gonna let it run its course and hope it eventually downloads completely.

You just refuse to ever admit something is wrong with the car. The guy said his wifi is sound and he’s never had this happen in any of his other cars. 2 days of downloading is not normal.
