Took our 1 week old Cyberbeast to Carwash ?…. They were so nervous. Said it’s the first Cybertruck they have washed and weren’t sure it would fit. Measured the tires, width… had a manager walk along the truck the entire run ?

I told them guys it fits in my garage. It will fit in the wash. ?

Thanks for posting, curious to know if there was any water in the cargo bay?

I’ve taken mine to the same place 4 times. Friday I took it and had a problem. The employee lined up my front tire as usual but as we started through the wash the roller that pushes the car along failed. They stopped everything and tried to talk to me about the steering wheel but it was too loud to hear them so he reached in and turned the steering wheel. After that I kept my hands off the steering wheel but it happened again. Eventually he got the wheels lined up and all went well. I suspect that the 4WS and SBW make it too easy for the wheels to get kinked, and that ‘car wash mode’ will need tweaking for the CT.

is the automated car wash voiding warranty an actual thing? do we know what the points of failure have been for cars that have been bricked after a car wash? I've been hesitant to take it to one...

This is from the owners manual. If the manual states procedure for taking the car through the Carwash… then warranty can’t be void.

… and this happened even after you had the CT in Neutral?

Of course. Sorry I didn’t make that clear. I’ve been using car wash mode and free roll for a couple of years so I forgot to mention it.

You guys need to find a station like below. No tracks, no rails, no brushes, touchless, pressured wash, no Neutral, no car wash mode, just drive in the tunnel and stop like at a red right.

7 minutes touchless car wash
I have one of those where you drive in and stop… no tracks but it does have brushes. I washed there too and things were fine. I did put in car wash mode.

I haven’t seen one like that. Are there any in the Bay Area?
