I've been pretty amazed at how many people straight up ask me how much I paid for my CT. I would never ask someone how much they paid for there car. It's something you can google in 1 minute. Now when people ask I say less than a Ford Raptor.
Yeah a few random strangers asked what I do for a living. Umm none of your business lol

I have also had multiple people I know tell me about all the recalls haha

They will say, did it break down yet or can you drive in the rain? I think it's kind of amazing actually how much they want to talk about it. It's all free advertisement for Tesla.

It is not just cybertruck, anything EV seems to bring out the Eddie-the-experts. Also, this kind of thing seldom happened when pre-Twitter takeover. The Elon tax is real.
There were hater experts before but I think the other thing is there's just more EVs now. The EVs are actually making progress and taking some of the gas cars sales. So people are seeing them at dealerships.

Just remember, if someone is trying to put you down, it's because they are lacking something you have. Confidence, objects, etc. They are making themselves feel better in a small minded way. Just know that they are jealous and you've done well enough to unintentionally make them feel that way.

Same goes with fancy expensive cars. 90% love them, 10% are jealous and want to feel or look better by putting the owner down. Yes I know the v10 engine guzzles gas and isn't as fast as an electric motor off the line. There's flaws in everything, even cars worth millions. You can't please everyone, especially the small minded.

Your "friend" isn't really a friend if he has to dog on you all the time. My friends did it once, maybe twice when I first got the beast but stopped after that. Its all bro code, get it out right away to tease your buddy then stop and still be buds.

Seems like ever since I got my Cybertruck, a lot of my acquaintances suddenly have become experts about the Cybertruck. One specific friend keeps showing me threads from a subreddit called Cyberstuck and at first I asked why was he so interested in these posts when he doesn't own a Cybertruck. Then he continues to show me different posts from that thread. Now I just put a laughing emote at everything he shares. At first I didn't care but now its starting to get annoying. It's my first time owning an EV and this attention is crazy. Anyone have a similar experience like this?
I’ve had my Cybertruck since February and I’ve learned you just need to ignore the haters. One interesting thing I noticed is that kids are always excited when they see the truck, every single one of them. I realized that’s because everything is new for kids so they’re not afraid of change. On the other hand, most adults don’t like change and respond to things that are new with resistance. That’s their loss. The truck is my favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned, even with the early adoption shortcomings.

I'm pretty sure that subreddit is run by pre teens.

For the most part young people are the most enthusiastic about the Cybertruck, more than adults by far. Older people over 50 tend to think the truck looks ugly or many people admitted to me they didn't know it was a truck.
During the July 4th Holiday I attended a block party in Yorba Linda, CA. My truck was parked in the hosts house driveway, he was so proud to have a CT parked in his driveway. I felt like I was at a car show and my truck was the only entry. I toured at least 30 people around the CT on and off when I was around the truck over the period of 3 hours, most people were over 50 and I educated them about the truck in general, they all had a lot of questions. Kids drag their parents to the truck to look it over and tend to be a little embarrassed. Many wanted a picture standing in front of the CT. Once you get away from politics, the truck is seen as an amazing vehicle. But remember influencers on the Internet are being paid by those companies who are threatened by Tesla and CT. Oil companies, other car companies who spend huge amounts to advertise and car sites (formerly magazines) who earn large sums in ad revenue from Ford, GM etc. Tesla breaks the rules they don't advertise for biased reviews and they keep making vehicles that make other car companies look bad.

I’ve had my Beast for a couple weeks and took a 60 mile drive this wknd to Breckenridge.

Got two birds ??, one shaking head no☹, a thumbs down ?? and a couple aggressive drivers trying to make a statement of their opinion on the Cybertruck. Damn! So many people just suck! ?

Others were nice and appreciative, so there’s that, but the attention this vehicle gets is overwhelming ?

It’s also amazing that random strangers think I’m interested in their unsolicited, ill-informed opinions.

Universally, kids love it, it’s the adults who have spent their life closing their minds to anything new and different that annoy me. And all of this despite the fact that the Cybertruck IS the most amazing vehicle ever created by humankind ?

They will be everywhere soon and this too will pass.

100%! My eldest was 1.5 yo when I placed the order. The youngest boy was a month old in mommy's tummy. Now ages 6 and 4, the Cybertruck is their favorite thing in the entire universe, after spending only maybe 1 hour total in it since we took it home. I told my wife: "This truck was not designed for me: it was designed for them."

Today, in the Arvo, Robyn our Receptionist came all the way to the further most part of the production line where my workstation sits. Robyn informed me months ago that her husband Craig had also placed a Day 1 Reservation like myself, however back when she shared her thoughts on the decision 4 or 5 months ago, she was disenchanted with the whole thing!
But today she shared photos of their visit to Tesla Cremorne on Saturday where they had to queue for about 30 minutes around 11:00am. Well, like l mentioned in an earlier post, 'The DOMINOES are falling'
Robyn expressed his much she loves the CT, and that they both look forward to owning one here in Oz! btw l asked how she rates the CT from 1-10. An easy 8!
Not bad me thinks, from someone whose meter was at 0 not that long ago. Robyn did express seeing it in person 'changes EVERYTHING'
NOICE one Robyn.....+ 'The BATMAN' ( Craig)

Older people over 50 tend to think the truck looks ugly or many people admitted to me they didn't know it was a truck.
A couple of weeks ago I was coming out of a store and saw a 50-year-old woman checking out my Cybertruck. I said "pretty radical truck, huh?". She said "It's certainly different..... but why do you call it a truck, I mean, what makes it a truck?" I was standing right by the rear corner so I silently reached up and pushed the button. The tonneau made it's beautiful "clickity-clack, clickety clack" metal sound as I pushed the button to drop the tailgate and I looked up to see an expression of astonishment. I think she felt a little foolish too as she said, "wow, it's so big". I just looked at her and said, "Yes, it is." She still looked like she was in shock so I broke the ice by explaining some of the other features and she was saying things like, "I had no idea anything like this existed" and "wow".

I've been educating my family and friends over the years about the biased reporting and fake media narratives surrounding Tesla and EVs, and most are starting to get it. Most people find it so unbelievable that things like that are going on. I tell them it's like an intelligence test. You can tell how discerning and smart someone is by how much they buy into false media narratives. You have to be pretty low intelligence to not see how strong the anti-Tesla bias is in the media when the articles are loaded with hot-button disparaging words and negativity. They are usually astonished to learn that for the first time in decades an American automaker, Tesla, took back the title of "Best-selling Car in the World" in 2023 but the reason they don't know that is because the media didn't tell them, they withheld it. Then I mention they have probably heard that EVs are not selling very well but that the best selling car in the world is not a gas car, it's an EV. That usually drives home my point pretty well.
