Well, I've had my truck for about a month or so now and really only have driven it about 2 weeks now since I was out of town for work. 560 miles or so on dash as of today.
Earlier today I pulled it out about 10ft out of my parking garage space to show a friend and got a red notification showing I needed to pull over immediately. "Critical issue detected" So I stopped and exited the vehicle while trying to sidetrack the conversation so my friend would give me a hard time and showed my friend a few things and when I went to pull it back in my spot the notifications were gone. At least so I thought.
Went to go see a movie with the wife and once again as soon as we pulled out the same thing happened showing steering issues and low voltage battery concers. Pulled it back in my spot, took my wife's car, and made an appointment for first thing tomorrow morning. It was nice to see they have openings available immediately for these alerts and the app showed and asked me to check the box for the errors that were popping up. I did a steering wheel reset but the errors were still showing when it reset. The wheel also became very tight to turn requiring about 3x more force and the steering raidus was cut dramatically which makes sense considering the faults.
When i came home i went to check it out again and couldn't get the truck to repeat the issue. I put it in service mode and it does show 2 active alerts from earlier in the night. I drove it a little bit in service mode and normal mode with no issues. I am wondering if I should even drop it off at all now? I really don't want to be without the truck but I figure at least they can do the recall items and fix an issue I have with the driver door rattling and buzzing while the sound system is on. Sounds like it is missing some clips or just isn't seated correctly. The passenger door sounds just fine but the drivers door rattles and buzzes waaay beyond normal. My wiper blade is also aweful and doesnt clean normally. Misses half the widow on the way down and about a quarter on the way up. Hasnt smoothed itself out for over a month and im confident its defective. Anyways, I hope the low voltage battery doesn't keep it away from me too long. I'm located in Hawaii and we have issues with shipping batteries by mail and I doubt our service center has one laying around since mine was the 2nd delivered in Hawaii and there's still just a handful on island. Anyone else have this issue? Did a Google search and couldn't find the main code associated with anyone. Pics attached below.
