California CT Owners. There are some income-based criteria to get a Clean Air Vehicle Decal. What has your experience been in getting the decal? I have not seen enough CT on the street to notice EV Decals.

anyone can apply for the decal but there are income restrictions for getting the rebate and the decal

I can’t get the tax rebate per my accountant. I am getting a decal - didn’t read the fine print.

Applied online, took all of five minutes.

Got an email the next day saying my application was approved and decal would arrive within 21 days.

Income only comes into play if trying to get rebate+decals. Decals only, there is no income restriction.

I use these magnetic backings, and only attach them on my way home during 3-7pm, then peel them off and store magnetically on the underside of the frunk. When the program expires next year I can just toss em.

even easier than those hov-specific magnetic backings is large sheets that you can apply to and then cut around the decal. that way you don't have to worry about aligning the sticker...you just slap it on and cut away. like: https://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Sheets-Adhesive-Backing-Flexible/dp/B0CJJYGH5C/

I got my decals a few weeks ago and it was very quick processing. I put them on magnet sheets so I can put them on when I need them. I'm not sure what type of income check they do, I just put that I qualify.

lol did you qualify for the rebate plus the decals? I just figured since the decal program is all through the state, they have my tax returns so I wasn't going to try and represent something that wasn't true...

I didn't qualify for the rebate as the CT is too expensive for it. Nobody qualifies currently. Not sure how they check it but you can just say you didn't know LOL

The pure humor around getting some sort decal and it basically gives you money off...

Whoever creates these rules should be fired. Should not even be a damn thing in the first place.
